Oh, how I hope that news about the US adaptation is true. If so, I really wish it could be you guys who act in it. I know it’s possible it won’t work out that way, especially because you probably have a commitment to VL, but I can’t imagine how cool it would be to have that show played out in your cute German-accented English.

It’s such a compliment to you guys, though. The writers may have created the story, and kudos to them, but it’s you two that brought that relationship to life and turned it into a story I can’t wait to watch each week. Thanks.

I suspect the Rob story is going to continue for some time, he has been given too much prominence to just disappear overnight. What is surprising is that Christian does not seek advice from Gregor, who might be gone from the show but Christian could pick up a phone and call him. Christian should not isolate and mope over these problems.

Ich finds gut, dass im Blog nicht wieder einfach so Eitel Sonnenschein herrscht. Man merkt, dass es Spannungen gibt und das ist auch gut so. Damit macht man den Verlauf der Geschichte in VL nicht zu Nichte.

Die letzten Folgen waren wirklich toll. Das ist Chrolli-Streit nach meinem Geschmack. Dazu hat man mit der Besetzung der Rolle Robert mit Max einen echten Glückstreffer gelandet. Chrollibert sind jedenfalls Unterhaltung at its best! Auch von mir ein Kompliment an Jo, Thore und Max.

Geschrieben finde ich die Geschichte immer dann gut, wenn darin Rebecca nicht auftaucht. Leider scheint das immer nur für zwei Folgen möglich und dann wars das auch schon wieder mit guter Unterhaltung. Das find ich echt traurig. Die Chrolli-Story könnte sonst 100 Mal besser sein. Aber so…. taucht das Pony auf, labert rum und zerstört den ganzen Handlungsverlauf. Warum muss das sein, Ossendorf?

Nehmt diese Rolle doch endlich weg und macht irgendwas mit ihr, was zu dieser Rolle passt! Chris und das Pony als Freunde darstellen zu wollen wird NIEMALS funktionieren! Wann seht ihr endlich ein, dass die zwei nicht zusammen passen? Es wirkt so lächerlich, wenn sich Christian diesem unreifen, egoitischen und verlogenen Gör anvertrauen muss.

Wenn ich die Vorschau für Montag sehe, vergeht mir VL und ich überleg schon wieder, ob ich überhaupt einschalten soll. Ich weiß auch nicht mehr, was man noch sagen soll. VL und Ossendorf machen sich hier ganz ohne Not was ganz Tolles kaputt. Das tut mir einfach nur weh.

I just read about the interest of US tv on making a new version of your lovestory.
This is a really good news and a great acknowledgement of your great acting perfomances but I’m sure the new version will never be able to surpass the original because you guys are for us fans just uniques!

Olli, der verbissen weiterkommen will und dabei die Augen vor möglichen Gefahren verschließt, dazu noch Chris, der sauer und besorgt ist und das alles garniert mit den fiesen ködernden Blicken von Ropp. Gefällt mir richtig richtig gut.

Ein ganzes großes Kompliment an Jo, Thore und auch an Max. Ihr macht das wahnsinnig toll! Ich hatte bei einigen Szenen richtig Gänsehaut: Als Olli Chris so angefahren ist, weil der angeblich nichts verstehen würde, die Szene von Chris im Zimmer bei Nacht, Chris Ausraster im Schloß, Roberts Umschwung von nett zu fies am Telefon, als Ropp Olli das Geschenk gegeben hat,…

Einziges Manko ist und bleibt die Einbindung vom Pony. Das ist überflüssig und das macht auch keinen Spaß. Ich wünsche mir wirklich, dass das bald ein Ende hat. Dann ist es perfekt und nach 2008 die erste wirklich anständige Geschichte, die Chrolli bekommen haben.

I still have to comment on your wonderful Vlog, Jo and Thore. You are developing Olli and Christian in ways that are quite fine — this is a tremendous vlog.

Sorry about my RANT the other day. VL’s writers have such gifts. For example yesterday’s episode — so darned subtle, witty and dramatic — Rob with his strange way of eating when he’s talking, his incessent Americanisms, his sexy flirtation with Olli, Christian with his jealousy, and, I must say, rather lovely — and interesting — connection with Justus (Justus got some subtle writing yesterday, and acted his part so well. His sitting on the desk was such an interesting intimate gesture for this character — an out-of-character moment that reveals character all the more. That was perhaps my favorite moment of the episode) — that incredible interaction in the hall between Olli and Christian in which the actors revealed the story in facial expressions, subtle but oh so hear wrenching – Wonderful acting, wonderful writing.

For this reason, I can get angry when the writing is bad. It just seems so strange. The writers clearly have talent. I just wonder what is going on behind-the-scenes that is creating the overall problems, i.e. storylines that are too obvious, storylines that are boring, etc.

Anway, I just want to say thanks or yesterday. I will watch that episode a few times. Yesterday was a busy day for me, so I didn’t get to see the whole episdode. Today I want to watch VL’s other fine actors.

It’s rare, especially in Soaps, to find such a chemistry, a romance that touches so many people, scenes that excite and trouble no matter what’s going on. I think this my favourite vlog as it shows that even though they are having problems, they are crazy about each other. If this story line does result in a split, I doubt it will involve anyone else as the love between them is so deep.
As far as a USA spin off, they would never capture the wonderful chemistry between Jo & Thore. However you could have some wicked fun casting the USA version- like Rebecca could be played by Ugly Betty!! (Sorry Jasmin, only joking!!)

Sorry, but I just can’t imagine a spin-off on our boys without “our boys.” If this is true, hopefully the producers will approach Jo and Thore before casting anyone else. If so, YAY!!!! They will have totally broken into the American scene!

Your dream of owning your own bar and it being a success is admirable, but you are too good-natured and you want to see the good in Rob even though there is none. Christian you need to remember this about Olli, his heart is as big as Texas and that’s going to get him into trouble sometimes, but he loves you with that all of that big heart of his!!

Seeing Olli in his crown reminds me of a line from the Joy Electric song ‘Burgundy Years’:

“Shall the words of misfits spoken be treated as jesters’ token?”

In other words, Olli, don’t be so quick to ridicule the words of Christian with respect to what he saw Rob doing!!

Christian is being so supportive. I think it is great that Christian backs off after warning Olli. He cannot do anything more, for now. Olli needs to see the truth for himself. All Christian can do is to continue his support.

Olli is blinded by Rob’s promises of success. It is sad to see. He is forgetting that being in a relationship means more than just partying and having a good time. It also means trusting each other, and Rob has started his campaign against Christian, talking trash against him, in the bar, and about him being jealous, etc.

I hope Chrolli survives this terrible person.

Martin, through her new aid+abet shingle, has acquired the remake rights to “Christian & Olli,” a popular “forbidden love” story line about a gay couple living together in Dusseldorf. Christian and Olli have become cult figures in Germany and globally through the spread of clips of the soap on YouTube. The original soap is produced by GrundyUfa in Germany and airs on public broadcaster ARD.

Aid+abet plans to adapt the story, setting it against the backdrop of present-day Portland, Oregon. Through Martin’s production agreements, HBO Films and HBO Entertainment will have first-look rights at the property before it is shopped to other networks.

Really @ Matilda?!! Where did you see that? That would be great EXCEPT for one small point: where will they find 2 actors who share the same incredible chemistry as Jo and Thore? Unless, of course, they’re planning to approach Jo and Thore to do it.

Der Blog heute war mal ne echte Abwechslung vom Thema her. Das man so einen Streit nicht vor der Kamera für andere austritt fand ich mal ne gute Abbremsung von Christian, das hätte ich sonst auch komisch gefunden wenn Olli das erstmal vor Publikum ausbreitet. (Nicht das wir beim VL schauen nicht auch das Publikum wären, aber hier im Blog sind wir ja die direkt adressierten Personen und da ist das mMn noch etwas anders)

Die Krone ist lustig und das Schauspiel fand ich super, wie auch in der VL-Folge gestern. Ich hoffe die Chrolli-Story bleibt uns noch lange erhalten, dann sind die Blogs auch interessanter.

I think this is one of the best vlogs that i’ve seen in a really long time! it just encapsulates everything that they’re dealing with in 2 minutes, and the acting in this is subtle, superb and enjoyable. I definitely agree with Nee, you should get married, but Christian needs to understand just how BADLY Olli wants this and how it might make him blind to people who have more than questionable intentions. Christian needs to learn a more sophisticated and less overt way to bring his concerns about that unsavory rob to Olli, because an attack on rob, is going to be seen by Olli as an attack on his dream. In Olli’s mind the two are indistinguishable because Rob is the direct means to that end, so it makes him blind with happiness. Olli on his part needs to remember that Christian is just as willing to support and sacrifice for Olli as Olli was for him, so if he’s bringing up a concern it MUST be valid, and it is worth investigating. How insulting is it to the relationship that they’ve built that he takes the word of a stranger over the word of the boyfriend who joyfully (although at first reluctantly) helped him rebuild the bar in the first place?
Jo and Thore, what superb acting here, you can feel the tension between the two just pop out of the camera. It also doesn’t help that Jo is probably the only person in the world who can make a corny paper crown look sexy..lol, and Thore, I’m just a sucker for you when you speak english…..

Rob is a perfect foil – most deliciously evil. Tempting Olli’s dream, so he is blinded to the truth.

While Christian feels as if he can’t convince Olli of the truth because C had entangled his previous perceptions with his jealously over Rob.

Olli, naive, but, from his pov, it’s understandable why he has reservations believing that C is simply coming from a place of truth, when he himself, previously said, of Rob, “I saw how he said goodbye to you. It was obvious.”

Please forgive me. After seeing today’s episode, I want to rant a bit.

RANT WARNING:

I am pretty angry that the writers have chosen to make Rob’s villainy as a drug-dealer so clear, so soon. Now we are treated to yet another plot with the predictability of a Mr. Rogers episode (a kids’ TV show in the U.S) or a George Bush speech.

I’m just getting used to being bludgeoned by the ever-so-subtle Tristan/Helena fiasco. (Could anyone make incest boring? I’m amazed that VL has been able to do it so well.) And I’m just recovering from poor Jasmine’s “stained shirt” plotline. (I mean, really — a shirt getting a stain counts for drama? On what planet? One on which people sleep a lot, I would gather.)

Olli is one of the primary characters on VL. We all want to see him get a storyline. That is great! We all want to see him get a dark/mischievous side. He needs to be a little selfish. That is great! I want to see him break from Christian for a while, but that’s just me.

However, I don’t want to see Olli playing the dupe and idiot for weeks. I don’t want to have a plot where Christian is the hero, knows everything, etc. and Olli is some silly damsel waiting in distress.

I can see the paint drying now.

And poor Christian. Look at what happened to Gregor in these past months. He’s basically been neutered as a character. He used to be hot, sexy, charismatic and kind — all at once. Now he’s a Ken doll – with all the physical attributes (or lack of) to go with that role.

I sense the same thing is being done to Christian. He won’t have faults. He won’t have a dark side. He won’t have anything except some moronic prince charming trope acted out double time to the tune of a Kenny Rogers song played by a cover band from Factoryville, Pennsilvania.

I was so looking forward to this Rob plotline. Max Engelke is magnetic. He and Olli have chemistry. Christian is dynamic as the raging Othello.

Macbeth spoke of life as, “A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury and signifying nothing.”

However, VL give us a tragedy Shakespeare couldn’t have dreamed of, “A storyline written by a committee, full to the brim with vacuous insipidness, signifying ratings that a producer can call, “good enough” in his next newspaper interview.

However, I am ranting. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

this vlog is so lovely. Christian, please keep an eye on Rob, Olli seems to be over excited. And where is Judith? I really miss her.

awww, christian always ends up giving in haha.. i cant wait till 26 of march. Both of you will be in NEW YORK CITY!! =) even though i wont even be there =[ so im just going to be soooooooo depress that day .... lol
hope an event like that would happen in Australia! it think it would be so cool.. or maybe the next Mardi Gras we have in Sydney, you guys come! =]

anyways, love your videos. but i do have to add one thing.. i dont see much kisses from you guys anymore .. even without the fights and arguments, theres no kissing on chrolli vblog!!

Hola Leute from the Bahamas!!

It’s great to see you guys again as always. But I’m not liking that you’re at odds with each other all the time over other people, especially the likes of Rob and his drug-pushing “freund.” Of all the places they can peddle drugs he chooses NoLimits. In hindsight it’s a good thing the party wasn’t held at the castle stables since I can only guess he’d have peddled drugs there too and jeopardize Christian’s position. I just hope Olli realizes what a slime-ball this Rob character is before it’s too late.

Christian, just be patient with Olli since you know him better than anyone: he’s always looking for the good in people and since only you witnessed the drug dealing, you’ll have to exercise diplomacy and tact–I know that’s difficult for you – to prove your point. Olli will soon see that you were right all along. But just don’t snap at him because he didn’t see what you saw.

Great job Jo and Thore fleshing out the characters that are Chrolli. I know you hear it all the time but it’s really appreciated. So many people look up to you guys for inspiration. I don’t think you’ll ever truly know how you’ve impacted so many lives, in a positive way. Keep up the good work and see you again next week.

Just remember Christian; Your horses will always be there for you! Unlike humans, your Equine Friends will always give you un-conditional love. When you need someone to listen to your problems, it always helps to talk to your ‘Best Friend’, either your Dog or your Horse!

Ich glaube, damit kann man die letzten Tage und besonders den heutigen wunderbar zusammenfassen!
Ihr zwei seid solche Freaks!
Auf der einen Seite Olli, der total kirre wird, wenn er an seine Zukunft als “Clubbesitzer” denkt, dem Roppp nur die besten Gäste ankarrt.
Und auf der anderen Seite Christian, dessen innere Verzweiflung über Roppps Integrität und das Milieu seiner Gäste sich immer mehr nach außen kehrt und dabei einen heftigen Keil zwischen ihn und Olli zu schieben scheint.

Und nein, so kommen wir auf keinen grünen Zweig!
Aber natürlich wissen wir schon wieder mehr als Olli und Christian hat Recht! Aber, wie soll man so etwas ohne Beweise glaubhaft machen… Das liegt dann ganz an Olli, ihm zu glauben oder nicht. Aber daran erkennt man schon jetzt Ollis Hin- und Hergerissenheit zwischen seinem Christian, seiner großen Liebe, und Roppp, DEM Tor in die Partyszene…na wenn der mal nicht mehr wolen würde…

Ich freu mich auf jeden Fall auf einige spannende dramatische Folgen, die wieder Leben in Chrolli bringen. Natürlich soll am Ende der Spannung auch ein glücklicher Chrolli-Vlog-Eintrag stehen, aber je größer der Spannungsbogen, umso schöner wird das Ende! =) =)

An Thore und Jo bleibt mir heute nur ein sehr beeindruckter Dank und eine Verneigung vor solch schauspielerischer Leistung zu erbringen!
Ich freu mich für euch, dass ihr wieder Spaß an Euren Rollen haben dürft und habt, denn das merkt man euch verdammt nochmal an!!
Nicht nur, dass ihr so noch viel authentischer rüber kommt… nein… Thore, deine Szenen im Zimmer heute waren eine wahre Glanzleistung! Stimmung, Musik & Szene passten super zusammen, aber wenn der Schauspieler sich dann noch so in der Rolle abbildet, dann kriegt man schon fast Gänsehaut!
Ich hoffe, wir dürfen noch viele weitere so perfekt gespielte Szenen mit euch erleben! =)
