To me it is like this:I am not rushing my life to be exciting,Iam always just going with the flow and meanwhile I feel like I am living my life to the fullest there are essential components in my everyday existence that must get caught in the net of my mind.I need to seek out people that I can see as special individuals of soceity,people that look over their bounderies without fear or regret and people that would give anything to make this world to be a better place to live and and frankly this storyline is one of those powerful action of acting human towards others that are always pushed at the end of “the line”.I m told to being an amazing person,but I always say:I just act according to what my heart tells me,but still…the whole portraying of Christian and Ollie and myself being able to be a part of this wonderful creation is making me want to be even better,even more passionate,even more loving.Thank you guys…:-)

Die besten Chrolli Drama hat natürlich die Turbulenzen, dass Christian falling in love mit Olli und herauszufinden, seine Gefühle für Olli – geht durch die gesamte Realisierung der, wer er war und wie es seine neue Wirklichkeit berührt wurde. das war die beste – gerade jene Episoden makes me wanna Energie zurück, dass zwischen ihnen. Es war wirklich mit Angst und Schichten von Emotionen, die jetzt nicht zur Verfügung stehen zwischen ihnen ausgefüllt, weil sie sie durchgearbeitet – also die Frage, welche Handlung setzt, dass die Chemie und Energie wieder in diese Zeichen? Die Geschichten wurden weniger vielschichtig und besser vorhersehbare nach dem typischen Geschichten. Sie müssen Spannungen zwischen ihnen, sondern mehr auf das, was sie haben zusammen nicht individuell zu bauen. Ich bin nicht sicher, was das bedeutet, weil sie so verschieden sind und dass eine gute Sache ist und wirksam eingesetzt werden könnten, wie es mit den eifersüchtig Christian hat – das ist so unterhaltsam Dank für all die harte Arbeit und großes Engagement.

I guess I was one of the first to have suggested, days ago, of Christian unconvincing body language. I see all the new comments, and I’m glad of the different perspectives.

I was talking about the wlog in particular, and the last ones. Not because I doubt the wonderful job that the actors have built so far, on the contrary, because I -like every fan- love so much the C/O chemistry, the unique human beings they have created from a soap.

But yes, while I adore Thore (which has a natural gift for the most sympathetic expressions, directness, and very strong acting intuitions) his recent attitude is a bit confusing; a guy who is struggling for attention, love, priority, jealousy, that really wants his Olli… well, in one way or another he should show that. I’m not talking about effusions, kisses, and other sweet reactions (although, just one time wouldn’t be so out of the character) but something -please- that goes with the impulsive tracts of Christian!! not just stand there motionless (I REPEAT IN THE VLOGS) with crossed harms and sulky.

Olli seems always there in the vlog to reassure that they really are a couple, they love each other, to signal to the other one it’s time for a gesture of some kind. Thore seems somehow uncomfortable. Or doesn’t he believe much on the VLOG idea?

That said, no doubt he portrays, with Jo, the most beautiful couple on TV; his acting and his character are the most beloved ones, for his complexity, strength and vulnerability.
WE all embrace them, regardless of our different opinions, for giving us the REAL ROMEO & ROMEO. I thank them forever.

This show is brilliantly written and acted and really enjoyable to watch over and over even with subtitles. The boys are riding high with all the attention as they should be for the chemistry they generate in the compressed time they have on camera. It seems HBO has a strong interest in the show and I think the boys should start getting the big bucks along with the writers and give the US another HBO hit. I am not sure what couple other than Chrolli could generate as much buzz with the current momentum they have acheived. How much fun would that be for the viewers. Keep the core of the show begining to now – they are too good together not to show off. The actors writers and directors have really made it work for perfect entertainment. Every relationship anxiety is portrayed in a heightened format that everyone can relate to laugh at and in a way feel better about having watched the boys portray it in a way only they can.
THese shows are all about getting people to watch – the producers, writers, actors and directors want to keep us watching and I think this new growth of the characters will only give us better entertainment and maybe less soap like.

Thore Schloermann would be jeopardizing his career by permitting personal feelings not connected to his role to show through on the screen…probably wouldn’t last long as an actor. Period. I really like the story at the moment. All the three of them (Thore, Max, Jo) are really good at the moment, it’s fun to watch!

It’s realistic to have Christian wriggle away and eye roll I think. He had some hard breaks in life and the writers leave a bit of a cynical edge to remind us. Christian’s ego bruises easily, he’s oh so vulnerable and it reflects in his level of patience and approachability. I believe Thore is playing the character exquisitely and right to the writer’s expectations. I’m spellbound at how well Thore does those nuances. It would be easier to play the scene all gooey googly but it would not be realistic. The power in the true love scenes is in part from Christian’s vulnerability, the balance between all the bad stuff from life and the incredible luck to have found the true love partner. If everything was rosey all the time it would not work so well.
Thore you and Jo do an incredible job.

Andre, of course you are entitled to your opinion, but how I see it is that Christian is pulling away from kisses because of what is going on. Ok Olli has come to make up with him with a romantic picnic, but Christian is very worried about the effect Rob is having on Olli, and deep down he thinks they are drifting apart. Olli doesn’t seem interested in Christian’s career, only his own career advancement.
I know it’s a soap, but I look at the deeper picture, and gay relationships can be very insecure. Also the scenes are directed, not just thrown together. Lastly, Jo once said in an interview that they both wanted scenes to be realistic, not cliched, and would tell the writers if they did not agree with the script which I found interesting!

Diese Feindseligkeit und diese traurigen Blicke konnte man ja nicht mehr mit ansehen.
Olli, Kompliment, auch wenn die Idee nicht von dir war, der Stundenplan war wirklich schön gestaltet und hat ja auch seine Wirkung erreicht aber ich finde ihr solltet euch einfach mal zusammen setzten und über eure Probleme, Ängste und vorlallem Gefühle reden, denn nur so kann man Probleme auf Dauer lösen.

Dann man etwas zu all denen die wohl nicht verstanden haben das dieser Blog genauso nach Drehbuch läuft wie die Serie und alles was Christian und Olli tun oder sagen ist im Drehbuch festgelegt und da dürfen sie auch nicht einfach was dran ändern.

Mir erscheint diese Reaktion übrigens sehr logisch wenn man die momentane Geschichte verfolgt.
Desweitern sind Jo und Thore professionelle Schauspieler und ich denke sie können schon Privat und Beruf sehr gut trennen und ich finde es als Fan einfach nur traurig wenn man denkt dass die beiden das nicht könnten.
Und wer sagt dass die Chemie zwischen den beiden nicht mehr stimmt sollte wirklich mal genauer hinschauen, für mich stimmt da alles.

You always need a good drama plot to follow: anyways, probably this authors feel the burden of having to balance the general couples’ golden rule, with the worldwide phenomenon-gays duo Chrolli has become; so they kind of feel this pressure, & stay superfcial to not get possibly wrong. It’s just IMO, of course…

I agree with those people, who say that searching explanations for the way how actors do their job in their private life is not a good taste, but I do think that everybody should have a right to criticize, if they have a feeling that something is not so well done. I believe that reading those comments is also much more valuable to Jo and Thore, if they get honest feedback, not only endless cheering, no matter what they do. If fans rate your work always with top notes, even if you had obviously a bad day, then it has rather negative impact IMO, because next time you will not try so hard, when halfhearted job was good enough.

Personally I believe that Thore has developed very much further as an actor during last two years, he is much better at conveying emotions now and is doing a good job in most of his scenes. But I share the opinion of those people, who say that lately there is something missing in his scenes with Jo. IMO he has been better at portraying a gay lover before, somehow the freshness and energy have been lost in Christian’s interactions with Olli. From Christian’s side this relationship looks more and more like a chore sometimes, when no matter what type of scene they have, is Christian’s reaction towards Olli one of those three: *eyeroll/annoyed* *bored* or *blank*. At the same time is story telling me, how miserable Christian is, because he can’t spend time with Olli and Olli is sliping away. How should I buy Christian’s suffering, if I often don’t buy from the scenes that he enjoys spending time with Olli and loves him so much? Those scenes where they yell or glear at each-other look nowadays much more authentic, than those where they are lovey-dovey or casual.

Playing a couple is a work of two people and you can’t say that only one actor could do better job, but Olli’s affection to Christian looks still much more believable at the moment. Of course, there is the difference of character, but Christian even doesn’t look at Olli, not talking about physical contact, if it’s obviously not directly written in the script. I see often much more involvement from Thore’s side in his scenes with other colleagues (especially Andreas) or solo-scenes (like this previous vlog). The commitment of Thore and Jo in playing a couple has made even some boring and repetitive stories enjoyable in the past, but now Chrolli is looking often like any other current couple of VL, where you can see in actors’ eyes that it’s only a job. I can understand that actors may be not as enthusiastic after playing together for two years, but it’s still sad, because many people have liked this story very much.

Don’t torch me! It’s my honest opinion.

I have also noticed that for a long time that Christian has been frigid toward Ollie. Even when they are not arguing Christian is always pulling away from Ollie.

I don’t know if it is the actor playing Christian or the directing that is causing this, but I don’t like it. Their chemistry used to be so good, I hope this coldness is just a temporary.

Georgygirl, I totally agree with you. I still don’t get why people think VL must follow the path of other soaps and have their supercouple Chrolli cheat like every other soap. If every soap is gonna go the same route what’s the point of all these different soaps, if they’re gonna be carbon copies of each other? Might as well have one soap and call it a day. It gets pretty mundane when all you’re watching is different characters from various soaps all doing the same thing. If the people who write the scripts are gonna call themselves “writers” then how is copy/pasting what has been written before writing?

I know I’m stating the obvious but Thore and Jo are actors. As such, while on camera they stay true to the roles and persona developed for them by the writers and directors. Although some improvisation is acceptable, the writers and directors tightly script their behaviour on screen. Olli is sweet and affectionate. Christian feels deeply but is overtly more aloof and reserved.
If you watch their interviews or out-takes of trips they’ve taken together for the show, you’ll find they’re very different from the characters they play. Thore if fun-loving and outgoing. Jo is calmer and more contained. In interviews where they’re sitting side by side, it’s clear there is a comfort level, as there would be with two friends, but they are not affectionate toward each other. Sorry to burst the bubble for those who believe real life mirrors fiction.
They have that special something – some call it chemistry – that make their characters work. I believe it’s the result of two compatible personalities who are equally talented actors. What makes them special is that I like both the fictional characters they play and what I’ve seen of the real men.

I have to defend Rob. I think he is incredibly hot — though as Christian and Olli OBSESSED noted, not as hot as Christian. (Could anyone be?) But he is still georgeous, and to my mind, a fine addition to the cast.

My own sense? On a soap opera, I want drama. To me, that means that couples break up and get back together — the assumption being that they are meant to be together, that they are “the ones” for each other.

Drama could and should come in other forms too — ideally at the same time as internal problems are going on. That would be ideal.

I understand most people would want Ollian to stay together forever, but in Soapland, that would be 1. a death sentence for both or one of them (Can we say “poor Carla”?) or 2. a surefire way to make them the “pet” gay couple of the show, the smurfs who have little to do except report other storylines, and, G-d forbid, add comic relief.

As this is a soap, equality here means being treated like any other couple. That means romantic drama. Rob is okay for me because he’s gay, sexy and (when given good dialogue like he was given last week) hot.

I would like to see Christian have an affair, too. I think the plan may have been to give him a straight affair, though I have to admit, I hate the idea. The “gay guy goes straight” thing is just too strange. We haven’t been set up for it as we have been with Olli. Olli is bi-sexual. Christian has always said he’s gay.

Now, Christian trying with Rebecca, hating it, and sleeping with Justus in a strangely wonderful one-night-stand might be rather interesting (and funny — too. I love Justus — he’s quite witty, and intelligent, written well lately).

The problem with the show might be to some extent an over abundance of predictability. That’s why the Helena/Tristan pairing is such a failure. We never got to know or really like them as people before we were forced into having to sympathize (or hate) their plight.

In the end, I wish we could add a bit of Torchwood playfullness to the mix — characters sleep with anyone on Torchwood. No big deal. Its hot, and delightful.

One last note: I think Rob and Christian could actually be a dazzling twist. What if Rob were to blackmail Christian? Or bring in Tanja, and have Tanja forcing Christian into an affair. Or have Christian having to pay off some debt of Olli’s through prostitution. There’s are lots of ways to get him into situations without making him part of another “couple.”

Anyway, I still think Rolli is very hot.

True love gets boring after a while, unless the writing is particularly good. Not even Shakespeare pulled it off. He never even tried to write a happy couple living wedded bliss. The closest Shakespeare came was Claudius/Gertrude in Hamlet, and if you know the play, well, that didn’t begin or end well. We can also include the Macbeth’s. They were delightfully matched.

I suppose, in the end, its a matter of taste.

At this point, my advice to the show: STOP trying to get “good ratings.” Begin from the ground up and get Good Writing. You are a public station, for goodness sake! Go for quality — go for good writing, and you will buzz.

I love your posts and normally agree with everything you say but this time….

Drug dealing aside, Rob is a 24 carat gold moron with his ‘groovy media party’ talk and hideous parka jacket. He’s one of those annoying guys well past their sell by date trying to look and sound ‘hip’ Bearing in mind that Olli isn’t an impressionable teenager but a man in his early thirties having him idolize such a loser just makes Olli look a fool.

I agree that the guys need some kind of sensible storyline but why does it need to be one
of them hooking up with someone else? Surely the chemistry these guys have could be put to much better use within a storyline that would create real drama rather than the usual cheating followed by jealous shouting matches, followed by tears, followed by threats of violence, followed by heavy drinking and one night stands with randoms. Sorry but it’s been done twenty thousand times before.

The Ibiza storyline could and should have been expanded. Olli stayed away from two months instead of a week. That could and should have caused real problems in their relationship.

Why didn’t Olli’s brain aneurysm leave him with physical difficulties that he had to overcome which then put a strain on his relationship with Christian?

Christian had a seizure after sex with Olli, yet had no problem jumping into the sack with
him afterwards. It would have been more believable if he’d been hesitant about having sex again for fear of another seizure which would have then strained the relationship.

Olli’s mother could have turned up still determined to straighten him out. Or Tom could return or Coco. Or how about one of them having fathered a baby? How about one of them wants to get married but the other doesn’t?

I could go on and on. But these are stories that could have produced real drama, real angst
Where is the drama and angst in Olli getting it on with David or Justus or anyone that?

I’m tired of the guys being used as comic relief and that’s all that storylines like that would be.

Ich freu mich echt das Christian und Olli mal wieder was zu tun haben nachdem sie so lange keine richtige Story hatten. Ich hoffe mal das man das mit Ropp jetzt auch nutzt und das richtig ausbaut. Das hat viel Potenzial um Chrolli vor neue Herausforderungen zu stellen, denn was wäre eine Soap ohne Drama?

Another question: Why can’t Christian and Olli be given another plotline along with their relationship woes? They need an external and internal challenge.

Part of the problem with the show is that it has only singular plot-lines for each character, and no harmonizing plot. In other words. Tristan — played by a hot and talented actor — is boring as hell because we’ve been told he’s in love with his sister, we get it, and now it is so predictable that we might as well be watching grass grow.

Why not build up the tenstion?

Why not give him and Helena something else to do? (And not merely a two-day trip to a stereotyped-to-the-point-of-ridiculousness, South-Americans-Must-Be-Laughing-or-Crying Patagonia?

Anyway, I like Rob. That is keeping me watching right now. Christian is amazing when he is jealous, and Olli sexy when he is subtly flirting.

Guys, I’ll admit something as a viewer. You are a soap “Supercouple.” You always shall be. You always will be. You are the Luke and Laura of Soapdom. That being said, I wouldn’t mind you having some problems.

Does Rebecca/Christian work? I don’t think so. (Christian/Judith would have worked. However, Rebecca doesn’t have the real connection to Christian necessary for this. Would Christian/David work? Yes. Would Christian/Justus work – believe it or not, yes indeed. Christian may have to explore his sexuality a bit. Christian/Ansgar: NO GO! Christian/Andy? Oh yes! Yes! YES! Christian/Nico? I fear it would work, but then if you have Nico supplant Olli I’ll stop watching the show — I mean, Ollian has to be the endgame. But then I’m a Ollian obsessive fan.)

Does Olli/Rob work? You better believe it.

Chrolli needs action like any other soap couple. That’s part of being in a soap landscape.

Christian is clearly aware of how different Olli is and he often wants to clarify that he isn’t interested in similar things but at the same time you can also see how fascinated he is by Olli’s personality and that makes him love Olli even more.

Observe how Christian makes a very distinct facial lip pout after he pulls away from Olli trying to kiss him? He has been choreographed and directed to do so by the director. Why? My guess is to give Olli the impression Christian still reserves feelings of jealousy and resentment that Olli is spending time with Rob. Christian is doing the same thing I would do in their relationship, and that is to ‘Ration’ his physical/emotional responses (kisses) to Olli’s advances in this time of reconciliation.
Their relationship is not out of the woods yet, and I think Christian is letting Olli know in very slight nuances, that Rob is still coming ‘between’ them.

But what the heck, any acting they do is great in my book, just as long as they get screen time to do it and show it to us their Chrolli fans. Thanks VL for the vast improvement in scripting. der Geflügelhändler, Illinois, USA

Exactly. When they are alone Christian is plenty affectionate (and not shy to take the lead) but he gets a bit shy in the face of Olli’s over-the-top sentiment (especially when he knows they are on camera (like in the vlogs)). I think both behaviours fit the characters perfectly and when Christian ducks his head a bit or seems shy of Olli’s exuberance, I feel very confident that it is Christian doing this, and not Thore.

There’s no denying that a romantic or sexy scene with these guys is amazing and I’m as hungry for that as the next fan, but I’m also grateful that most of the time they are not ‘picture perfect’ – it makes them more real. I like that they don’t have to be the same in order to flourish as a couple. So Olli can get into celebrity gossip and fashion and shopping, and even though Christian doesn’t get into all that, he knows that’s Olli and seems to find it cute. Olli is more thoughtless, Christian is more jealous; Olli is more romantic, Christian is more tender; Olli lets things go more easily after a fight, Christian is more likely to see reason and admit when he’s wrong. I think it’s obvious that even though Christian is sometimes a little shy when Olli gets crazy romantic, it’s actually something he loves about Olli.

Except that he was extending the olive branch without ever acknowledging he had been in the wrong or saying sorry for it. ‘I’m sorry we had a fight’ is the closest he got to a real apology. The fact that he thought Christian would find the idea of him working more with Rob great news shows how utterly oblivious he’s been to what Christian is actually mad about.

Still, the breakfast and cloud gazing was a lovely idea and I LOVED him ignoring Rob’s call. About time!

i agree with you 100%. you can tell in the way thore does interviews, or any kind of appearance where he is not playing Christian but being himself, how much he enjoys his job an therefore the story and character he is representing. The fact that he agreed to star doing these Chrolli blogs with Jo shows that he is not ashamed of the person he is playing. If he was getting sick with the role or growing disinterested he wouldnt want to do extra work on the role outside of scenes filmed for the actual show.

Also it should be obvious that thore and jo are told what to do, when to do it and how long for in the scenes they are in. I thought that was clear by the title “actor”, otherwise what are “directors” paid for!

So get off their backs Jo and Thore are two of the best, if not the best, actors i have the pleasure of watching and long may their amazing story continue. After all if their acting was nothing special their story wouldnt be as widely well known or appreciated as it is today!

I agree Martin. I can always count on Brownsugar to put things in perspective. Frankly, the fact that people actually think Thore can do whatever he pleases whenever he pleases on VL is totally ridiculous and shows just how little the ones commenting really know about acting and show biz. Whatever Thore and Jo does onscreen is due to the script and what the director envisions for that particular scene. Now, what the script can’t control is the chemistry between the actors in question; either they have it or they don’t! And Chrolli DEFINITELY has it!! That’s why they’re the world’s most loved couple, gay or straight!

i am happy they’re conciliated but you should not too much be delighted in advance i’ve definitely fright which their trouble are only beginning because of robert i hope that you will always stay together thanks you are a tremendous couple.

Don’t usually comment but this time I have to throw my oar in. All this stuff about Thore pulling away and not wanting to touch Jo is just nonsense. The man has been playing this role for two years and doing an excellent job of it. The fact there are Chrolli fans all over the world watching episodes and blogs and commenting on sites like this is a testament to that.

Brownsugar and ChrissieOlli are right when they talk about the director being the one making the decisions about how the actors play scenes. It was the director who set the
staging for the stable scene and who stood by and watched it play out that way. The same
goes for all the other scenes where Thore has been accused of pulling back or not wanting
to touch Jo. For one thing I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to touch Jo and for another
if Thore has a problem playing a gay character why on earth agree to it in the first place?
And why would it only be a problem for him now two years and many kisses later?

Personally I think that Thore and Jo do a fantastic job. I have never seen actors have as much chemistry as they continue to have after two years and I hope that we’ll have the chance to see them playing a couple for many years to come.

P.S.

I think that anyone more interested in viewing endless sex scenes than actual drama is wasting their time watching a soap that goes out at 6pm and would be better off looking for late night programmes with an NC17 rating.

Hopefully this won’t be a one off and you’ll both continue to remember what is

get from each other and that is definitely worth hanging onto. Glad to see that on this

wow….so many people comment on different topic. well, am just glad to be here to see what people talking about my favourite couple in the world.

about this vlog, my favourite part is when Ollie said : “Who is the real wolverine?” LOL.

The Bavarian breakfast picnic scene was so sweet and I hope there are more to come, but I have to say the story is a little bit cliche. It really has been a torture to see those misunderstandings between you guys, and honestly, I am sure you have already passed that phase.

For Olli, it is great to see that you are always the one with patience and would like to make the first move. But come on, it is NOT the first time for you to handle these things. You’d better come up some flesh ideas to balance your life, especially when it comes to your ambition about NoLimits. It would be a real cliche to see this story repeat and repeat and you are much better than that. BTW, I don’t mind to see that Rob guy plays some dirty and you suspect that before it ever causes real damage, and of course, dear Christian could help in the middle.

For Christian, I am totally on your side this time. The idea of a party at stable is awful and I like the idea of seeing you into some kind of sports again. It really makes you shining. But at the same time, jealousy doesn’t lead you any where, and again, it is NOT the first time for this to happen. It is high time for you to grow up and take it from the other aspect. Maybe you can help Olli to see things clear this time. And please, don’t ever go wrong with this new job.

And MORE IMPORTANT, please bring Judith back to the show. I miss her for all those lovely scene that whenever things with you guys went wrong you could always count on her as the reminder of love. Not to mention her weird attitude toward things. It was really great to see you guys bound up. Chrolli, Judith, Gregor and Lydia was a perfect team and that was probably another reason got me so into the show.

Liv…first let me clear this up…this fan’s head isn’t buried in any sand. I see quite clearly, thank you very much!

Now what I’m not seeing is Thore after TWO YEARS has become distant and doesn’t want to get too intimate with Jo any more. I personally don’t see anything of the sort.

You know…what we see on camera is not because Thore and Jo decide to play it that way. What we see is how the directors want that scene played. I remember reading an article where Jo or Thore mentioned that even where they put their hands or how their body is positioned and for how longed is by instruction. They do not drift from their given script. When the director says to lean in a certain way and now kiss for 5 seconds they do so. Christian not putting his arm around Olli or turning his cheek when Olli goes to kiss him is not Thore’s decision, it’s the directors decision. And when they say CUT!! Jo and Thore CUT!. It’s like when your boss tells you to do something you do it. You don’t question or do it your way least you want a pink slip. That is how it goes. This is not no free for all.

Christian and Olli cannot be constantly seen hugging, kissing and cuddling each other. It maybe beautiful to see but unrealistic. Also, that’s not Christian. It never has been. Olli has always been the more smothering type, whereas Christian is a little more subdued and even a little shy in his way of expressing affection toward Olli.

This is a SOAP which Jo and Thore have given their all in making this one of the most realistic portrayals of love between two men ever seen on TV, anywhere. They have done this for two years with unwaivering dedication.

Thore two years ago on VL was playing straight in relationships with women. He was suddenly and quite surprising to him asked if he would now play a guy who would fall in love with another man. He gracefully took the role and has committed to it fully and respectfully, even braving all those media interviews with Jo being asked quite personal questions about their sexuality and so forth. All this time Thore has always been a class act. So quite frankly I find it an insult to Thore that his moral belief and dedication in his character be questioned.

And for the record…I’m not seeing what you or some others have seen over the last six months. To me from Christian’s heart condition to this present Rob storyline Jo and Thore have been consistant and honest to their characters.

I’m just kicking back and enjoying this great ride. God knows when or if we will ever see this this type of a gay love story of such high quality and amazing actors, play out again on our screens any time soon.

Well, all the same it’s really great to see our Chrolli together.
Nothing compares to the chemistry between Thore and Jo .
My sister and I have decided just enjoyed these two charming men without paying attention those little things that doesn’t fit together (jerking,reluctance and so on).

Lots of hugs and kises to Olli and Christian.

The 8-2-10 episode has to be a mini-classic for the Chrolli series. Well written and well directed. And all this in 3-4 minutes.

Christian finds Olli on the phone with Rob and Christian’s jealousy flares up. (A sign of how much Christian loves Olli.)

Olli wants to share his good news about working with Rob again with Christian but is hurt when Christian can’t be happy for him.

Instead of going injustice-collecting and getting furious at Christian, Olli –always the aggressive one in the relationship – tries to find a way to win back Christian’s affection.

Typical to his character, Olli decides on a corny, romantic picnic under the winter sky.

Olli wins Christian over – who can be mad at Olli?

Although all the physical contact has been initiated by Olli all thru this episode, the director has Olli in Christian’s arms at the end with both of them laughing and kidding around. (Great camera work)

The point of the current storyline is to show how much about Chrolli has changed.
They are both pursuing different and demanding careers which leave them tired and stressed making it hard for them to have quality time together and that situation goes back to Olli first buying into No Limits.

It’s a pretty common and realistic problem that most working couples face and that being the case, it would make no sense to have them behave in the way they did when they were both waiters and weren’t so stressed out.

Plus they have been together for nearly two years – well past the honeymoon stage. IMO if they were still kissing and cuddling as much as they did a year ago I wouldn’t believe it. So I’m glad that the writers and Thore and Jo have opted to allow the characters to progress and change in the way that any characters in any on going series should.

Besides, if they did kiss and cuddle every minute they were on screen, sweet moments like
yesterdays picnic and the way that Christian gazed so lovingly at Olli would be nothing but a case of more of the same.

Christian, for the sake of all things anti-pubescent and mimicking boybands…please don’t ever torture your hair like you did in this vlog.

One of my most favourite episodes, the Bavarian breakfast picnic (no idea what that entails) but it looked heavenly.

Olli, you break my heart with your optimism. You’re way more bending than me. If I got the attitude that Christian was throwing my way, especially when I’m trying again and again to extend the olive branch, the Bavarian breakfast (including the basket) would have ended up on his head.

But, one of the two has to make the first move, and, it’s, without fail, Olli, again and again, while Christian’s anger makes him sulk for longer and deeper than Olli. Hot-head. Very very *hot* head…rwar.

Unlike us, the audience, who gets the luxury of all perspectives, Olli, you don’t know of half the things that went on behind the scenes to make Christian pout so (like him getting you a party at the castle). So, I forgive Olli for how in the previous episode, he left Christian waiting while he tended to Rob, his “possible” business associate (who, one must please/network with, graciously, to open up further work opportunities).

Christian, don’t let your jealousy blind you (although, it’s damn hot seeing you in such a state).

I like the little gestures that has become so part of the identity of the characters, showing up every now and then. Makes for believable continuity of the characters. Like the characters’ signature “coddle me” moves. Olli’s is his pout and silly baby voice, while Christian’s is the “Humpf, I’m pretending I don’t care so you give me more attention” and the exaggerated pretend-sulking. Christian’s hair-trigger jealousy and anger, Olli’s childlike enthusiasm towards everything. Olli’s sacrificing ways, Christian’s need for alone-time when something bothers him, and the initial resistance to the truth, before accepting it with full force.

Again, great and amazingly natural acting by both Jo and Thore in the picnic scene….I felt equal parts giddy, and equal parts a voyeur, as if I somehow got lucky to be privy to a real, intimate slice into the lives of two people so deeply in love.

Thank you everyone at Verbotene Liebe for continuing to bring us this amazing story of Chrolli, and, especially the recent happenings (depth in storyline, not superficial supporting roles from these two characters). It makes me feel like I’m falling in love with them all over again, like I did the first time, seeing their beginning.

Once again, to be in the spirit of things, I will write to the characters. I am a nerd after all! Editors, please feel free to take out anything you don’t like.

I am glad to see that you are paying attention to your relationship again. Christian contacted us last week and was an utter mess. More than a couple of our friends thought he was engaging in self-pity, but I don’t think so. I know you too well, Olli. You are obsessive. And, let’s face it, you like beautiful men. That means Christian — the love of your life (may I remind you!) and Rob.

Don’t pretent do me that you aren’t attracted to him. You like dangerous men, and you don’t mind flirting — remember that whole Tom fiasco. What were you doing with him, anyway?

Oy! I know this Rob. He’s dangerous — and hot, George Cloony hot with a bit of Brad Pitt thrown in. And he loves beautiful men, too. Which means you.

He might also want your restaurant.

So don’t play games. To be honest, I find all this women’s magazines picnicy stuff to be rather boring, but I’m sure it was sweet and romantic. Christian certainly seems happier for it.

However, turning to women’s magazines is a sign of sheer despiration.

Surely you have noticed the contrast between Christian’s physical behaviour toward Olli now compared to 4,5 and 6 months ago???

Go back and watch the VL episodes from May, June and July and then watch episodes from November, December and January……There is a huge difference between the two, I’m not talking about when they sleep together or fleeting touches here or there but the OVERALL lack of affection toward Olli from Christian. Also compare the early Vblogs to the last 5 vblogs, it’s even more noticeable in those as well.

In the past Christian would OFTEN put his arm around Olli, pull him in for a hug, or EAGERLY lean in for a kiss, he would physically SHOW his love for Olli in lots of ways and it was beautiful to watch seeing their amazing chemistry together.

Now we hardly see that anymore, instead we see Christian pull his head back, turn his face to the side or pull away very quickly when they kiss, it’s very sad to see.

What makes it stand out is that before you could see the connection between them because they would BOTH be loving and affectionate to each other. Whereas now it’s nearly all one-sided, if Olli stopped touching Christian you would hardly see ANY physical contact between them at all.

Lots of fans have noticed this and I know you think we are over thinking this but
the proof is there to see if you care to look. By the same token a lot of fans bury their heads in the sand and gloss over the fact that Christian is more distant and doesn’t show half the same affection toward Olli as he did 4,5 or 6 months ago.

Now that got that off my chest.
I would like to say.
You have been an inspiration to people like me who r still in the closet b’coz the land we live in would punish us with death should we let people know of our ‘unnatural love’.
The person most close to me has passed on to d next world as my love’s ‘unnatural behaviour’ was discovered. My love protected me but was taken to that land in d sky.
I discovered ur story on youtube in september a month after my whole world fell apart. you are my solace that if not me atleast you have the love that i have now lost.

Ich bin echt schockiert über die zum Teil anmaßenden Reaktionen hier. Thore ist Schauspieler und bekommt ein Drehbuch. Es gibt Regieanweisungen. Vielleicht soll er sich wegdrehen, weil die Beiden eigentlich in einer Krise sind und das nur ein kurzer Zwischenstop war. Ständig diese Lobpreisungen auf Thore, die schon fast nicht mehr “normal” sind und dann halten ihn im Endeffekt doch so viele für einen anscheinend schlechten Schauspieler. Olli war immer schon offener, er will ja noch nichts von Rob, sieht die Krise noch gar nicht, während bei Chris der Stachel der Eifersucht längst sitzt.

Und die Forderung, eine der Rollen sterben zu lassen, nur weil man ein bißchen Drama und eine vielleicht kurze Chrolli Trennung nicht erträgt, ist für mich die totale Frechheit. Ich mag nämlich beide Rollen, auch unabhängig voneinander. Vor allem Olli, der noch so viele Geschichten bietet. Außerdem sollte man mal bedenken, das Thore und Jo von ihrer Tätigkeit leben. Also bitte ein bißchen Zurückhaltung, wenn es direkt um Jo und Thore geht und ein bißchen bessere Nerven für die Story.

Ich finde die Story um Chris-Olli und Rob einfach ganz klasse und freue mich jeden Tag, wenn es weitergeht . Alle drei Akteure machen einen super Job und ich wünsche mir, das es noch richtig dramatisch, emotional und spannend weitergeht

RE: the pulling away… Christian’s being playful guys, he’s done it before and he’ll do it again. In fact, technically, before they started the whole relationship all Christian DID was pull away, and isn’t it so much fun to watch Olli ask/convince him to stay?
It’s a little mean-spirited to say Thore doesn’t like Jo etc. We should all know by now that the actors are subject to the whims of directors, everything they do is highly scripted. So what is the point of bashing Thore?
If you watch yestereday’s episode, and several episodes really, their chemistry is fine, it’s the same as it ever was. You might have an expectation of BOTH of them being all “kissy goo goo” but that’s really Olli’s domain. Christian has always been shy (except in his dreams and in the boxing ring, lol) and reserved and the more uptight one in the relationship, so no, he’s not going to fawn all over Olli all the time. In truth, that probably makes things a million times more complicated for Thore because he has to devise a million subtle ways to convey how Christian feels. It’s probably why he’s so good at pulling faces. If you’re expecting Chrisian to fall over Olli and squeeze and huggle him and make little cooing baby noises, I think you’ve been watching the wrong show. And to me that would de-base it. It’s wonderful to see moments like yesterdays episode where Christian lets his gaurd down just a little bit and the love he has for Olli is just plastered all over his face. His restraint the rest of the time makes moments like that even more special. People need to just…relax.

Like you once said Olli only sees the good in the world and can sometimes miss the obvious unscrupulous tactics people indulge in to get what they want. Christian keep ur eyes on that guy and protect Olli coz rob could turn out to be worse than Axel.

I don’t understand why some posters are complaining about Thore pulling away from Jo. If you watch the blog it’s pretty obvious that Christian is simply reacting to being teased about having chilblains. If Thore was so reluctant to touch Jo why does Christian then wrap both his arms around Olli’s neck about a minute later?

It was the same complaint about the stable scene and again there was a good reason why Thore played it that way. Even after sleeping together, Christian was still peeved with Olli for turning up with Rob in tow and then falling asleep and missing his dressage routine. We know this because Christian mentions it in his solo blog. Christian being Christian does not get over being upset that easily, so Thore plays down the affectionate gestures. Olli however knows he let Christian down and feels guilty. He is keen to make it up to Christian so Jo plays up the affection.

In the later sexy dance/red towel scene, they have a whole evening together ahead of them and Olli is even cooking a meal. The mood between them is good and so when they hug and kiss and there is no sign of Thore pulling away from Jo. However in the later scene in the castle kitchen when Olli turns up late for their riding lesson and picnic, Christian is disappointed with Olli for being late and so Thore turns his head away from Jo when he leans in to kiss him.

Thore is an actor and that means he makes certain choices about how to play a scene based on what happens to be going on with his character at the time. He is also subject to direction which also affects his choices. Posts suggesting that Thore has a problem with hugging and kissing Jo or even that Thore might now have a girlfriend and that this might make it difficult for him to play a gay character come across as kind of insulting because they suggest Thore is such an amateur he’s incapable of separating himself from the character that he plays.

In my opinion, it’s simply not believable that any couple, real or fictional, would be hugging and kissing all the time or that they would never pull away from each other even during or after an argument or disagreement. One of the reasons I am a fan of Chrolli is that Thore and Jo play their characters in such a believable way even when the storylines are less than convincing. Also remember that Thore has chosen to play a gay character and has stuck with it for nearly two years. If he couldn’t bear to touch Jo I’m pretty sure he would have bailed out long before now. Instead he’s still on the show and even heading to New York in March to meet and greet fans of that same gay character.

Awww!! So glad they kissed and made up. Now they must stay together!!

So glad the both of you made up. And the picnic scene, courtesy of Olli, was a wonderful idea. Now my heart can settle down a bit since you are both back on good terms. The love you both have for each other is too strong for the likes of a sleaze ball called Robert to come between you. The man is a smooth operator who wants to step into your shoes, Christian. But I think it would be over your dead body before you let the likes of a ‘Rob’ take your man away.

And how sweet it was to watch Christian tell Rebecca to remove herself from his presence. The woman is like a stalker. I mean, everywhere Christian goes she is right behind him. I bet the only time he gets a break from her is when he has to go to the bathroom.

Liv and Val…i’m not sure what you mean about Thore pulling away from Jo in this Vlog. I believe it was meant to be played that way. I’m not seeing any hesitation or deliberate backing off by Thore. On the contrary…I see a great Vlog with that continued amazing chemistry between Jo and Thore. And today’s episode, which I’m assuming you have watched, was pretty terrific and is the reason why Jo and Thore’s portrayal of a gay couple in love is leaps and bounds above all those other storyline out there. I think we fans may look into things a little too deeply sometimes, and should just kick back and enjoy this wonderful ride of an amazing and beautiful love story.

Jo and Thore…once again you have both put in terrific performances. Watching you in todays episode was like watching poetry in motion. And the chemistry you both have is breathtaking.

Glad to see you two are starting to work out your relationship. The best thing for both of you would be for you Olli to take riding lessons from Christian, and the two of you ride off into the ’sunset’ for some quality time camping out with the horses for a weekend.

At 00.22 you can clearly see Christian DELIBERATELY pull away from Olli AGAIN!!!!!

This has been going on for weeks now but today it made me cringe as it was very BLATANT and OBVIOUS

And why is Olli oblivious to the fact his boyfriend either flinches, turns his head or pulls away when he tries to kiss him???

This starting happening well before any arguments between them so the question is why is Christian acting this way considering he’s supposedly in love with Olli?

On the one hand I find it hard to believe a Director would let this appear on screen
if it wasn’t part of the storyline.

On the other hand the director could have missed this and Thore is now just uncomfortable doing any love scenes with Jo and tries to avoid physical contact.

My theory is that Jo and Thore seem tense and have lost that natural ease and connection that is usually between them, Thore especially seems ill at ease and hasn’t been himself for weeks now.

Hallo ein riesen Lob an die Schauspieler, ich hatte bis vor kurzem ehrlich gesagt überhaupt nichts für DailySoaps übrig, aber die Story von Christian und Oliver haben mich eines besseren belehrt.
Wahnsinn wie autentisch ihr die Liebesbeziehung von Christian und Oliver rüberbringt, die Mimik und Gestik. Man denkt wirklich ihr seid ein echtes Liebespaar das viele Hürden überwinden muss.
An Oli (etwas seltsam an fiktive Personen zu schreiben *g*): deine Aktion mit dem Piknick war richtig schön und ich bin auch froh das Christian nicht wieder beleidigt abgehauen ist, sondern sich wieder mit Oli vertragen hat, wer weiß wie lang, hab schon gesehen das noch einiges auf uns zu kommt

If I were so lucky as to have Olli a boyfriend like Olli (¡Ojalá!), I would sometimes find his constant hanging on me, kissing me, cuddling and poking to be a little annoying, especially those kamikaze kisses that land just about anywhere. I know I’m probably in the minority who feel this way. And don’t get me wrong, I definitely enjoy watching Olli being so affectionate with Christian and don’t want him to stop.

But Christian’s pulling back, I suspect, is sometimes just a natural reaction especially when Olli comes at him with force. I certainly wouldn’t want Christian to be as love-dovey with Olli as Olli is with him. That would just be too saccharine sweet.

However, the perception that Christian just isn’t really that much into Olli could easily be eliminated if Christian showed Olli affection in other ways, such as just for Christian to just hold/touch Olli.

Some possibilities: spoon with Olli in bed with an arm around his chest, give him a long slow hug, or put his head in Olli’s lap as they watch television…just find a way to touch him. But the touching has to come FROM Christian, NOT Olli.

A very simple and powerful scene would be to have Chris and Olli sitting close on the sofa watching TV. Then have Christian put his arm around Olli’s shoulder and pull Olli in close so Olli’s head is resting on Christian’s neck/chest and hold him there.

was ja schon so aussgiebig diskutiert wurde, warum erträgt chris (thore) keinen kuss mehr von olli (jo), sondern weicht hier wieder insinktiv(?) zurück.
es war in den letzten folgen schon auffällig, in diesem blog jedoch mehr als deutlich. drehbuch? wirklich?

es tut fast körperlich weh, zumindest aber im chrolli-herzen, sowas sehen zu müssen.
traurig, aber wahr.

ich wünsche mir nun ein schnelles ende von chrolli, ein unfall (wenn möglich keine baugrube), ein was-auch-immer? die story der beiden scheint aus autorensicht auserzählt (und vielleicht auch aus sicht der schauspieler). alle weiteren ideen werden die eigentlichen charaktere nur noch gänzlich und bis zur unkennlichkeit verformen. da möchte ich chrolli doch gern als das in erinnerung behalten, als das sie die welt(!) entzückt haben, nämlich als das liebenswerteste, ‘normale’ schwulen-paar ever!

und dafür, jo und thore, meinen allerherzlichsten dank!

This totally caught me by surprise!! I’ve yet to see it for myself on Das Erste so I’m putting the proverbial cart before the horse. I’m happy that you’ve decided to make up because your happiness affects us all; and we ALL were on pins and needles. Chrolli: you must NEVER go so long being angry at each other. Understand?!! Your love is too special for that. Just keep the lines of communication open at all times.

Now I can’t wait to watch how this grand event actually took place so I can smile again.
