Don’t understand why people say that Rebecca is a nice person. What is nice about framing your friend for shoplifting? That is the one of the worse things that you could do and it just wasn’t believable that Christian would ever forgive her and want to be her best friend. You can only be friends with people that you trust and Rebecca proved that she could not be trusted.

Then again Rebecca has done something bad to all her friends. She told Christian that Olli was cheating on him with Rob even though she only had Rob’s word for it that something had happened and it wasn’t really her business anyway. She also let Christian take the blame for the kiss even though she was the one who kissed him. Then poor David found that out when she lied to him about being over Christian and used him because she couldn’t bear to be without a boyfriend.

Just because she always cries afterwards and says that she is sorry doesn’t make up for the fact she only ever think about herself and what she wants. Who would want a friend like that? I know I wouldn’t.

David is a very nice young man.He is the perfect age for Rebecca.The story has been going on for so long with Christian not knowing how she feels about him.Time to end that please

Some fans are so mean to Rebecca.
It’s hard to fall in love with someone who already has a partner
but she was always there for Christian and Olli and never tried to set them apart
She’s nice and she deserves a good guy.

And I think Chrolli should break up to REALLY have a “fresh start”.
It’s not about Christian being gay or straight it’s about their dysfunctionnal relationship.
I think a break up would be better than watching them fighting and making up all the time.

But I blame it on the writers because of course Jo and Thore are greats ^__^

I have never liked Rebecca but she has been nicer since the shoplifting.Christian is in love with Olli and no one else.It doesn’t make any difference woman or man Chrolli will always be the one true love.Rebecca is a young immature person and can’t even come clean about her feelings for Christian.He said she is his little sister.Very true.I won’t watch if they are going to be together.Nothing can take the place of Chrolli.

I would like it to see that Christian leaves Olli. They have trouble all the time and aren`t happy… It`s really annoying! They wouldn`t have this trouble if they were made for each other. But Rebeccas feelings seem to be true and honest… And Christian doesn`t seem to me really gay… Give Chribecci a chance!

I know soaps have the same story with the dialogue written not word for word but every time Christian asks Rebecca does that kiss mean anything and then she gives those bloody stupid looks and says no I get really angry with seeing it and knowing it’s going to be repeated over and over.bloody awful.

First of all i would like to thank you for bringing us the most beautiful&amazing love story of “CHROLLI”. They are magical& so soothing, they make me smile always. As you know now that the whole world is hooked up with them, please dont try to tear them apart.
Rebecca is desperate cause she isn’t having her life that she wanted to with Gregor, but that doesn’t meant she can go on hitting Christian.Just hook her up with David, which would be something interesting.
There have been many love stories but “Chrolli” show us the true love and i believe they are icons of true love, every time when she drools over Christian, she makes me puke.
Although i can say Christian isn’t into her, but who knows Christian is just a character plays according to the script, so please writers dont break them up. Rob is fine and i dont think he is as dangerous as Rebecca cause Rob dropped his intention on Olli which got him the answer. But Rebecca is as dangerous as a snake.
If it would be possible gift us the their wedding or not continue their cute love story but please dont mess them up which would terribly break millions of our fans heart.
We want more “CHROLLI’S” intimate scenes.
Last but not the least Jo&Thore are amazing, there couldn’t be any other actors played so efficiently.

Why couldn’t it have been twenty gallons of pee?

Wow, i just spent the last half an hour reading the previous messages. Since its my first time there are some things i need to say. First off thank you VL, for embracing all the goodness that is Chrolli!!! I watched one episode, one random episode on youtube… and after watching it i found myself searching for the next, eventually finding myself at Nana’s channel, I was ravenous to see all i could! Over a period of three weeks i spent alot of money and time going to town and using the internet there (since alas i don’t have internet at my home…) I fell utterly in love with the show, in no small part thanks to Jo and Thore. The chemsitry between the two actors is astounding and you guys should be so proud of that. However the past few episodes while still enjoyable have been some what confusing. Christian and Olliver have to soe degree been acting somewhat out of character, well the character that i have come to understand over the episodes. while i shall remain a dedicated viewer for as long as you guys will have me there are some concerns i need to address. While i am not against a Rebbecca-Christian storyline, it just seems they were forced into it. It a little more back story, a reason for the attraction. While i can clearly see that Christian is showing no feelings for her, while my speculations are probably wrong i can only hope you the writers of the show are not blunt enough to force apart Christian and Olliver. Their relationship has amassed international appeal and i can’t even imagine the backlash that would occur if that relationship were to be destroyed.

Chrolli in 2010 and no Rebecca!!

Wow, I hope the writers and producers are reading all these comments and they get some idea of how much us fans love Chrolli and want them to stay together. I know they might be thinking that after two years the relationship is getting stale and that it’s time to break them up but I hope they understand how much that would hurt the show. Jo and Thore don’t spark off anyone else as well as they spark off each other and the Chrolli stpry has been compelling right from the beginning. Yeah, it’s looking a bit tired but that’s because the guys haven’t been given anything to do. I don’t know why this has been the case, all I do know is that a meaty story that focusses on them and their relationship without including Rebecca or anyone else will really make all the difference. I’m hoping that in 2010 the writers will give us that.

@Heavensent. ITA with all that you said. But’s it’s not just the Chrolli relationship the writers have ignored. What about Christian and Gregor? They used to be really close, always happy to sort out each other’s problems, now they barely spend any time together. The same goes for Olli and Charlie, who never even goes into No Limits. Or Chrolli and Lydia who used to be flatmates and now behave like strangers. All Chrolli have is Rebecca and now Andi but only because Rebecca and Andi are considered to be important and they need to have friends. I used to love VL and Chrolli, I even watched the full episodes even though I don’t understand any German. Now I’m just bored by the show and sometimes by Chrolli because they don’t have anything interesting to do and they are not the same as they used to be. Christian was very sensible and sweet and Olli liked going out and having a laugh. They also had sweet little scenes where they talked to each other and hugged and kissed. Now all they do is talk about Rebecca or Andi or Gregor and Luise which is stupid because none of those people talk about Chrolli all the time. I still love Jo and Thore and still think that they are great actors. I’m just angry at the way that the writers have treated Chrolli and that they don’t care about fans like me at all. If they did they would have made sure that Chrolli had good stories and that they were still interesting. Instead they are trying to break them up so Christian can be with Rebecca which is just boring. I hope that the rumours are wrong and that Christian and Olli stay together and maybe even get married. That hasn’t happened on a soap before and it would make VL special. If it doesn’t then I’m not going be watching either because I don’t want to see Christian with anyone else but Olli.

I don’t believe the writers have ever known what to do with Chrolli. All their energies went into setting up the relationship and the impact it had on Christian’s boxing career but after that they just ran out of ideas or enthusiasm. They would probably have broken them up long before now if it weren’t for the fact that Chrolli has managed to attract an international audience which is why they’ve given us this blog. Somehow they must think it makes up for Chrolli being stuck in the background of other characters’ stories like Gregor, Luise and Lydia and Sebastian and now Andi and Helena.
Whenever it looked as if Chrolli might get some kind of storyline – Ollie’s discontentment with his job, Christian’s jealousy, Christian’s heart condition, Christian kissing MIriam, Christian’s impotency – it would amount to nothing more than a minor tiff and be over in less than two episodes in order to give more time to other characters. So for months poor Olli has done nothing more than polish glasses behind the bar while wearing an ever increasing number of horrible scarves. And Christian has undergone a complete character change and latched onto Rebecca the most pointless character on the show.
If the writers had ever stopped to consider why Chrolli are so popular maybe things would have been different. Jo and Thore have real chemistry and despite the lack of storylines and at time bad writing, they’ve continued to be watchable. However, watching them having to play second fiddle to Gregor annd Luise, Andi and Helena and even Rebecca has become painful.
Come the New Year there seems every indication that Christian is going to leave Olli in order to be with Rebecca. Why the writers think this will add anything to the show or attract any kind of fan base, let alone an international one is anyone’s guess. But maybe they know something that us Chrolli fans don’t. I don’t know about anyone else here but the day that happens I won’t be watching the show any longer because it will become just another soap with over the top storylines and nothing else to recommend it. Chrolli was a true phenomenon which placed VL front and centre of the current soaps, something that no other characters on the show have managed to do. It’s just a shame the writers and producers just refuse to see it.

I feel a sense of betrayal by the writers, Jo and Thore. In an interview, Thore said he and jo provide input into the script. We, the fans, made them a global success. Now, they force Rebecca on us. The fans don’t want this!

If they continue down this road, a fan backlash is inevitable! My anger is growing! Yet, I still love chris and ollie!

What really infuriates me is that there are plenty of storylines that Chrolli could have had. Coco could have returned wanting to get Christian back, Olli’s old boyfriend Tom might have appeared or how about Olli’s awful mother, or the brother that we never see? Instead we get this awful rubbish with Rebecca which is all about her. If the character had a following and was at all interesting that would make some sense but it is just not clear who Rebecca is or her function in the series. She’s not the good girl like Judith or the bad girl like Olivia. One minute she seemed to be sensible and then she turned into a shoplifting airhead who is now in love with her gay friend. Even if Christian wasn’t part of a popular couple, this storyline wouldn’t make any sense.

And what’s with Christian touching Rebecca all the time? He doesn’t keep groping Olli like that and he’s his boyfriend. If the writers can’t come up with something for Rebecca to do then it’s time to just write her out of the series. And while they are at please come up with a good storyline for Chrolli, the best couple in soapland.

Rebecca needs to leave Olli and Christian alone!

I just finished reading all the blogs. The fans are united in hate against Rebecca. I too share that sentiment. It is very difficult to comprehend why the writers continue forcing story lines that fans reject. I know the scenes are cast at least a month ahead. But does it make sense to continue a product that is not selling?

lese zwar häufig in diesem Forum, schreibe aber selten. Weder in diesem, noch in anderen Foren. Doch jetzt muss ich hier etwas loswerden. Habe mich gestern bei meiner Mutter geoutet. Ist mir wirklich extrem schwer gefallen und ich zittere jetzt noch, wenn ich an das Gespräch gestern denke. Was für ein Weihnachtsgeschenk!!!

Aber sie hat es eigentlich ganz gut verkraftet. Zumindestens tat sie so. Warum ich das hier schreibe? Bin mir nicht wirklich sicher, aber ich denke, dass mir Christian und Olli irgendwie Mut gemacht haben. Meine Mutter ist auch VL-Fan. Und seit ich mitgekriegt habe, dass da auch ein schwules Pärchen dabei ist, sehe ich auch (fast) täglich VL. Leider ist mein Vater nicht so locker drauf. Wenn er die beiden beim Knutschen sieht, meint er immer wieder, dass das ekelhaft sei. Jedenfalls bin ich jetzt total nervös. Meine Mutter wird es meinem Vater bestimmt bald erzählen. Hoffentlich reagiert er auch so locker wie meine Mutter. Mal sehen…

This is the first soap that I’ve ever developed an interest in watching. And amazingly, I’m addicted! Lately, though, the Rebecca scenes have dampen my interest some. I will never tire of watching Chris and Ollie kiss.

It is my hope that the scenes between Rebecca and Christian come to an immediate end. Nobody wants this! It is unthinkable that the writers would pair Chris and Rebecca in an affair. That would create a dramatic audience decline.

I love Ollian! Chris and Ollie forever!

Hope these comments didn’t upset anyone. It’s just that we Chrolli fans hate the idea of anyone coming between our guys especially someone like Rebecca. We’d also like to see more of the guys being a romantic couple. Lately they seem more like friends than two people in love. I’d love to see Christian give Olli flowers or take him out for a romantic meal somewhere, or even cook him a romantic meal, or maybe bring him breakfast in bed. I’d even settle for a small cuddle on the sofa. So come on writers more scenes with the guys on their own without Rebecca constantly getting in the way.

I love the blogs and I love Chrolli but I will never believe in this friendship with Rebecca. I will also continue to hope the writers don’t decide to have Christian fall for her. Chrolli are the best gay couple on TV and the only reason to watch VL. I live in Jamaica and I’ve been addicted to their story ever since I came across it on the Internet. If Chrolli breaks up there will be no point in watching VL as I’m not interested in seeing Christian or Olli with anyone else. So come on writers give us a big new year’s present and keep Chrolli together.

I have an idea!!! Eduard could attempt to kidnap Louise – only he takes Rebecca by mistake. He holds her hostage in some remote place while he figures out what he’s going to do about the situation. He and Rebecca gradually get to know each other, then fall in love. Then they run off together – never to be seen again. Or at least, stop hanging around Christian, Olli, Gregor, etc.

I spend a lot of time critiquing your work. However, I forget just how wonderful your work can be!

Can I again say how spectacular your Ansgar/Maria/Tanja/Elizabeth storyline is right now? I don’t know a word of German (well, I know two or three), but I am riveted and excited by what I see and hear. The actors deserve credit, too.

And I appreciate the fact that you are “knitting” Christian (and I hope Olli) into the castle life. I just adored the scenes with Christian, David and Justus today.

Firstly, you place Christian, David and Justus in the midst of the riveting Ansgar scene — making us see the scene from their perspective, and making us see them from Ansgar’s perspective.

Wonderful.

Then, you provide a lovely touch: Christian straightening David’s tie; Justus straightening Christian’s shirt.

This small character-driven moment is what sets VL apart from American soaps.

I love these touches — these scenes that do not foreward plot, but forward character. That build a world for us to enter and adore.

Thank you all for the information about civil unions in Germany. I didn’t remember that had happened. I believe Western Europe is much further ahead than the US when it comes to civil rights and humane treatment of its citizens.

I was very pleased to hear that Germany had appointed a gay man to be First Secretary/Secretary of State. Yesterday Houston, Texas elected a lesbian Mayor. She is openly gay. That she was elected is remarkable because Texas is an extremely conservative, right-wing, pro-Bush state that still considers hunting gays a sport. Any Texans out there who want to disagree with me?

@ Shenadoa, in lots of EU-countries gay couples can sign for Civil Unions, like in Germany, obviously they can’t marry in Catholic churches, but I know it’s allowed in Protestants’ ones…So, looking at that scene you said, I was so hoping that O. or C. would have tell something about a marriage-prposal…Let’s hope to see it sooner or later, but I definetely consider it to be a clue for the future! ^_^

Jo and Thore, I really appreciate the extra work you put into these videos. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea. We love seeing you together because Olli and Christian’s relationship is something wonderful that we all dream of having, gay or straight. It makes us smile.

You’ve invested so much of your skill in creating a realistic, believable couple that when something serious happens to your characters, we’re genuinely affected. I generally look at TV soaps with disdain, so please consider this a great compliment to your acting and ability to push beyond the material.

In an interview Thore said that you spend extra time creating subtle flourishes that re-enforce your character’s love for each other. Those little touches and actions are very special to us, like Christian running his finger along Olli’s arm in the hospital bed. It’s just a second here and there, but it was enough for my partner and I to genuinely wonder whether you were together in real life. The fact that you’re not and can still convey those feelings is magical. So thank you for the consideration you both put into it.

You’re both damn fine actors who deserve stronger story arcs and material than what we’re seeing now. I know as viewers we’re a couple of months behind what’s being filmed, so please forgive our ranting about the direction your characters are taking should there be a solid, progressive Christian and Olli storyline coming up. I think I speak for everyone when I say that your worldwide fanbase of millions just wants to see more beautiful, meaningful moments with your characters at the centre.

Both of you have had your ups and downs. Rebecca is dealing with pains of growing up and moving into adult hood. Mistakes happen. On a scale of 1-10, how big is it? The way you are handling it is fine. Understand, forgive, and move on but as long as she uderstand that her behavior is not acceptable. The expectations are the same in all relationships: trust, respect, honesty, love, support, etc. You guys understand. Just look at how your relationship have grown and developed.

Hello Olli and Christian. I expected to find a new vlog this week but no such luck. ( Not even an explanation as to why or any information on when we can expect one. When should we expect a new vlog?

On a happier note, it’s nice to see Christian taking a more equal part in these blogs as they have progressed. In the earlier ones, it seemed as if Ollie was pulling him in somewhat unwillingly but now Christian participates freely.

I love everything that has to do with Chrolli. To be honest i wouldnt care if you guys do break up because in the end i truly know that you guys were meant to be with each other. And worst case scenerio you guys do finally break up I will always keep you in my heart because your love story was the best ever. It inspired me, it made me cry and it gave me hope to love again.

I want to thanks Jo and Thore for being so cute. I love you guys.

I understand that some fans of chris and olli are not happy with the current storyline with rebecca and christian, but I feel that some people have taken this too personally to say the least. You’ve got to remember that when you say horrible things about the actress Jasmin Lord, Thore and Jo won’t be happy because they are her friends and work colleagues. After all these are fictional characters they play. I know it is obvious they are fictional but after reading some of the comments, some people have definitely forgotten this very obvious point. While we love christian and olli very much there is no need to insult anybody on a personal level.

On a lighter note I just want to say I enjoy the vlogs and i still enjoy christian and olli very much. Thank you.

just wondering why there’s no new vlog this week? It’s friday and we don’t have a new vlog

I second, (or is it third or fourth?) what Marita posted.
I saw an interview that was done with an actress who’d been on a soap for, like 20 yrs.,& she said fans will forgive anything, except someone acting completely against what they have come to know as their character, unless some major explanation has been given.
I am all for an angsty, drama-filled, will they get the happy ending?, storyline…As long as it’s believable. Bitte. I would even take a Rebecca storyline, frankly, as it’s better than nothing, if if if, it was believable, she was likeable and there was any chemistry whatsoever.
Nobody believes what’s happening anymore. And I say this as someone who has been totally into the coming back from the dead, magical doppelganger, total face transplant, driving off a cliff and surviving nonsense.
Even in soap land you must have something to believe in no matter how ludicrous the storyline and that has always been the characters themselves.
Their backstory, their personality, their morals, their beliefs, their quirks, the way they dress(poor Jo Weil this spring and summer), the language they use.
Even if Olli and Christian like Rebecca, there is no way they’d be best friends with her. Plus she’s just so spectacularly unsympathetic. I would say she doesn’t have anything interesting to say, but lately neither do Christian and Olli. All they seem to do lately is listen and nod.
I have been watching this story almost since the beginning and I used to go out of my way to make time to watch the new episodes, just on the off chance they might appear, but now I no longer make the effort.
It’s sad because I think Jo and Thore are wonderful and are doing the best they can.
I think that truly personal attacks on any actor or actress are inappropriate but we are well within our rights to comment on his or her acting skills. Academy Award winners still get told they suck sometimes. Better get used to it now.

I believe marriage between same gender couples is not legal in Germany and neither are Civil Unions, can anyone explain what Christian is talking about?

i think we should be grateful to have a chrolli storyline to watch even if it has rebecca in it…i mean it’s a soap it’s supposed to make us angry, sad, upset and then happy…and to have drama in it!! they have to give us something to watch and something to play with our emotion to keep the interest alive….i know there are a lot of storyline without rebecca that can be used but hey, maybe the writers can still amaze us with this story…just my opinion…i know a lot of people don’t like rebecca and this chistian straight phase or whatever just be patient…rebecca is not one of my fave character but i don’t dislike her either…

Je me demande toujours pourquoi personne n’écrit en français surtout lorsqu’ils sont français parce qu’ils y a beaucoup de fans français (même si ils regardent votre avec les sous-titres en français avec un an de retard) et on tourvent votre histoire totalement magnifique.

Mais ce que j’aime par-dessus tout c’est votre façon de vous affirmer tel que vous êtes (même si en ce moment vous n’en avez pas beaucoup l’occasion). J’aime beaucoup les réactions des autres lorsqu’ils apprennent votre relation. Je crois que la plus belle c’est la façon dont Andi l’a pris. C’est ce qui m’intéresse le plus dans votre histoire ( et Verbotene Liebe ) c’est les réactions des autres lorsqu’ils apprennent que vous êtes un peu différent d’eux. Il y a eu des réactions positives et d’autres négative comme avec Axel. Mais je crois que c’est ce qu’il y a de plus beau dans votre histoire, c’est votre façon d’affirmer votre amour et de vous battre pour l’autre. Lorsque l’un a un problème est là pour le soutenir et c’est qu’il devrait avoir dans chaque relation.
Vous êtes un très belle exemple de relation entre deux personnes, quel que soit leur sexe. Homo, hétéro, nous sommes tous pareils. Nous aimons tous différemment mais en quelque sorte on s’aime tous de la même façon. Vous vous aimez fièrement et c’est ce qui est magnifique. De plus vos interprètes sont très bons.

Dans chaque film, je m’investis dans chaque personnage, dans chaque histoire. D’ailleurs on me reproche de trop m’investir. J’aime beaucoup votre histoire parce qu’à chaque fois qu’ils vous arrivent quelque chose je le ressens au moins aussi fort que vous, voir même beaucoup plus. Lorsqu’ils vous arrivent d’être ridicule, je crois que j’ai encore beaucoup plus honte que vous, moi de derrière mon écran, je suis toute honteuse de ce qui vous arrive. Et c’est pareil lorsque vous vivez quelque chose de fort, de très fort, de très beau et de très joyeux, je suis euphorique. Je crois que vous êtes mes antidépresseurs.

Je dois être une de vos plus jeune fan. Je suis encore sur les bancs de l’école et ma joie de chaque jour, c’est de pouvoir vous regardez sur votre blog (pour les vendredi surtout) et sur le site de votre chaîne.

Ce que vous venez de faire avec Rebecca est très courageux car vous n’êtes pas à l’abri d’autre bêtise de sa part mais comme je me dis souvent :
“Le pire risque c’est celui de ne pas en prendre”.
Je vous trouve très sympa de faire ça pour Rebecca parce que chacun a droit a une deuxième chance, même si certaine fois des gens ne la mérite pas. Il ne reste plus qu’à attendre et voir !

I have to wonder if the public reaction to, and obessesion with, the ChrOlli love story hasn’t taken everyone involved by surprise? I can’t imagine that the writers, producers, Jo, Thore had any idea that what started out as a new story line on a German soap opera would turn into such an international phenomenon, being watched by viewers all over the world. I imagine it has gotten much bigger and more complicated than anyone of them could have ever dreamed it would. But because of avenues like You Tube and Facebook…it exploded onto the international scene and garnered many adoring fans and followers. Like a ripple on a small pond coming ashore as a tsunami!

I too am smitten with the relationship Jo and Thore portray. Their on screen chemistry can’t be denied and as a fan I want to see their on screen relationship continue to grow, deepen and evolve. I do think that Jo and Thore may have been placed in positions that neither of them ever expected to be in. Fame can be a fickle Mistress and at the moment the heat is on.

I too want the continuing relationship between Olli and Christian to be nurturing, passionate, caring, tender, stable….what we all want our love stories to be, but just like in real life, we must keep perspective.

Chaos ist ja fast untertrieben. Bei Judith artete das immer ein wenig aus, was für uns einige Lacher parat hielt. Ich fands aber auch toll, wie Kathrin sie einfach perfekt hingekriegt hat! Sowas herrlich normales kann ich dem Charakter Rebecca gar nicht abgewinnen, obwohls es ja schon ne ziemliche Steigerung gegeben hat. I’m not sure what the writers are planning. Whether it’s Rebecca having a crush on Christian, or an actual romance between the two (I hope not). Either way, it’s not going to work, and it’s really insulting to the audience. We’ve already had Rebecca kiss Olli. We’ve had Olli kiss Coco. We’ve had a drunk Christian kiss a female co-worker. Enough already! The characters are gay, and they are in a long-term relationship. The other characters should respect that.

Also, Christian forgave Rebecca unbelievably fast. It just wasn’t realistic, even on a soap opera. Again, it’s an insult to the audience to force the characters into behaviors that they wouldn’t normally do. The story-lines have gotten so nonsensical, I’m concerned that Jo and Thore are going to throw in the towel, and move on to something else… or is that the writer’s plan?

Honestly, Viola, I am also getting tired of seeing the Rebecca storyline. I LOVE Christian and Oliver and have been hooked since I stumbled upon the “coming out in the boxing ring” episode on You Tube years ago.

They are an amazing force and bring so much joy to so many people out there, it would be a damn shame if their storyline were to end completely. I hope the fans keep voicing their undying support until we all finally get the “Chrolli” we all know and love back!

I find it very insulting of VL to assume that we don’t see the difference between the actors and the characters they play. After having read all 169 previous comments I don’t understand how they could say this. True, both Jasmine Lord and “Rebecca” have been criticized but for different reasons. Jasmine Lord might be good-looking but she is not a good actress.

I believe it may be the writing team who is feeling the heat right now because we fans are not simply complaining about Jo’s cardigans or petty fangirl/fanboy stuff but we are totally deconstructing their writing.

There have been some extraordinary comments on this lasted Vlog. Just to name a few…Marita, Ivan, kes and thunderkat, to name just a few…all giving impassioned reasons as to why Ollian/Chrolli fans are so upset.

We fans have watched and waited for so long, a year now and counting for something consistent and decent to progress with Olli and Christian. But what we have seen in front of our TV screens is this complete dismantling of the characters of Ollian. Christian in particular has become schizophrenic. His personality has been changed to fit in with Rebbecca’s on going story. She has bounced from one brother to the next. The fact that we maybe watching…although I don’t think so…the character of Rebecca who has already slept with Gregor, to possibly end up sleeping with his GAY brother Christian, is implausible and quite repulsive. And to make matters worse, both Rebecca and Thore are not selling this storyline very well. One reason being their chemistry together has the heat of a bucket of ice cold water.

The sadness of all this resides in the fact there were so many other story lines that could have been pursed with Ollian. For instance…Christian’s heart condition and his having to deal with its consequences…his response in having to give up his life long dream of being a boxer…his impotence episode in bed and why this happened?…being fired from working at NL by Olli. There there is Olli…the impact on his relationship with suddenly having almost full responsibility of NL…Gregor’s debt…Christian’s jealousy and having to fire this person you love. All these wonderful avenues of interest were dropped to bring Rebecca to the forefront. Mind you, this actress has been continuously in front of the camera since her first baby steps onto the VL set over a year ago. And her character is so unlikeable. As I’ve mentioned before her traits are some of the most awful of female expections….an obsession with shopping for clothes, shoes and makeup. Then we have the whining, crying and dependence. Then the need to have a man at all costs, even a professed gay one in a loving relationship. Can the writers now see why the fans are incensed at what we see.

Another very upsetting factor for me is seeing the wonderful and provocative character of Olli stuck day after day behind the bar of NL. I’m tired of seeing Olli shine glasses. If ever there was an actor on VL who should have excess camera time…it is Jo Weil. I just find this incredible that we only see him for brief periods, either behind the bar of NL giving relationship advice to others or sharing a scene with Christian and Rebecca. It’s truly criminal.

I’d also like to mention that I, and I think I can speak for the rest of the fans on this Vlog, know the difference between fact and fictions. I am well aware that I am watching fictional characters on a SOAP opera, and when the cameras stop rolling and the lights are turned off Jo and Thore return home to their respective lives and should be honored privacy.

I simply love the character of Olli and Christian. And have the such respect for these two actors who have provided one of the most unique and beautiful love stories ever put on camera between two men. Granted, there are other gay love stories all over our TV landmark, but nothing like what we have witnessed with Olli and Christian. Which is why there is such passionate feelings for them. All we ask is respect and integrity for these two amazing characters.

Sorry @never2late, I know what you mean by it, (not that I’m an actor, but I’ve studied theatrical/ literatures’ subjects, so I’ve the maximum respect for actors’ community/ work) but I think fans, after being unhappy or months, have the right of disagree this kind of late storylines….Or better still, this “parody” of the original Chrolli’s plot, always with the greatest respect, of course!!

If you really think that Chrolli’s fans wouldn’t make such a big difference, when coming to numbers…Well fine, but then why had VL producers ever think about a vlog, if the real intention was to focus almost the whole attention to couple like Gregor/ Luise or this new heroine Rebecca?! Totally pointless.

You’re right to say Miss Rebecca (I swear I’ve nothing against the actress!!) perhaps isn’t the only cause, that’s true, the real issue is simply that Chrolli haven’t anymore, for too long time, a whatsoever plot…

I don’t know why people give such bad ratings. The boys need a proper storyline. Their existence in the show should not only be about others’ problems, which have been portrayed in that way for a long time. Young people at their age would have enough problems of their own to worry about rather than spend most of their time meddling with other people.

If there will be something going on with Christian and Rebecca, well, despite how awful it sounds, at least, that is something. When characters have no dramas in the show, it is an end for their reasons to exist. I sincerely don’t want the boys become some sort of gossip agency narrating about their friends’ lifes.

I so laughed at this one ^^ But youre SO right. Leave the humour to the Brits, they know how to do it best (and I’m a German saying that ; )). They definitly have better taste ^^

Anyway, what I wanted to say: I think that characters are more important than plot. You can overlook a not-so-logical or clichéd plot if you have characters you really like. Perhaps that’s what’s annoying me so much about all this mess: It makes the characters inferior to a (pretty boring) story, they are changed and thus made implausible. I actually liked Rebecca in the Gregor story. As thunderkat pointed out, her character also really suffered from this plot. And I’m annoyed by that, even though I don’t care about Rebecca at all. So, changing Christian and Olli, who I care a whole lot about, really makes me angry.

I don’t think we should keep being so mean about Jasmine Lord. She is only the actress who has to portray the character of “Rebecca” in whatever ridiculous scenarios the writers come up with. That’s got to be a terribly difficult burden for her to have to bear.
Of course it is totally understandable how everyone has come to love the “Chrolli” characters (and the actors who so beautifully portray them): but keep in mind, they are NOT really Christian and Oliver! They are Jo and Thore and they probably have a really good business relationship with Jasmine Lord. Being a community theatre actress myself, I know firsthand how people support each others efforts and genuinely hurt for colleagues who have difficulties. Whether it be bad story lines or hard time memorizing scripts, etc. etc. Sure there’s competition for public attention but we are all in it together, as I’m sure Jo and Thore are with Jasmine. I am pretty sure that, as much as they appreciate all of us being so devoted to their “Chrolli”, they are just as hurt to hear how much everyone hates Rebecca. I’m not so sure, however, that it is simply the Rebecca storyline that is really upsetting people. I think it is because for the first time ever, a gay couple has been portrayed as healthy and normal and NOT stereotypical for a change and the idea of their wonderful role model disappearing is heartwrenching to all of us.

It is gracious of the boys to keep this vlog going, even despite all the negativity they have been receiving due to the impending Chribecca story. They have no obligation whatsoever to do this for us. They do it out of their appreciation for their fans and when the fans get hostile…well, I’m just afraid that they will eventually get to the point of saying “Screw it, who needs that shit??” Know what I mean?? Even if we all stopped watching VL, they’d still probably have their jobs and the show would go on…of course there wouldn’t be anymore International hoo hah over it anymore, but the show would go on none the less.

Let’s just try and show support for VL in its entirety and be thankful for all the wonderful feelings that “Chrolli” stirred up in all of us. Maybe, in the coming year, the writers will finally wake up and surprise all of us!?!

Das könnte es echt sein, dass die Rolle Rebecca jetzt den Ansprüchen der beiden jetzt fehlenden Rollen gerecht werden muss. Und der Mix der dabei rauskommt ist ziemlich bizarr, aber gut dargestellt!
Na ja sehn wir doch einfach weiter wo die ganze Story noch hinführt, ich bin jedenfalls gespannt.

Ach ja… Kathrin Heß würd’ ich echt zu gerne wieder als Judith sehn! Sie war einfach spitzenklasse und so herrlich normal. Ich weiß nicht wem es noch so geht, aber ich fand sie hat immer Leben in die WG gebracht in ihrer Rolle. Das fehlt mir so ein ganz klein wenig, wo die Jungs nur noch zu zweit sind. Judith war schon immer ein Knaller und immer einen lacher wert, aber einfach zum Liebhaben.

I consider myself lucky to have experienced all the wonderful writing, acting, and emotional rollercoaster that is Chrolli since the guys made their first encounter years ago. I’ll keep on watching the videos of Chrolli no matter how the writers think their storyline should go. Everyone that works for the show is doing a great job, keep up the good work!

Given the recently posted warning about remaining polite and separating characters from reality, this will be my last visit to the blog…

Let me explain clearly why.

I am sure that Jasmin Lord is a wonderful person, and will eventually grow very much as an actress, but, she is NOT yet ready for such a major role as the current storyline is giving her.

When the Chrolli (Ollian) story was first proposed, Thore, in many interviews, confirmed his fear about not being able to play the role properly. But with Thore’s courage, some great writing, and the incredible talent and hard work of Jo Weil and Thore Schölermann, the coming out of Christian Mann was to become a WORLD WIDE PHENOMENA. Sadly, the writing team at that time didn’t appear to care about any of the other stories and characters. Now, it appears the story that got Das Erste world wide recognition is not only no longer The First, but THE LAST. Poor writing, and a young (and visibly struggling) actress are destroying the fan base that Chrolli has brought.

I understand fully that the characters Christian and Oliver were meant to be supporting roles to the aristocratic von Lahnsteins. But the international acclaim forced these characters to become first string / main characters. Only the current writing team treats them as less than supporting most of the time.

Around the world, soap operas (daytime dramas) are a dying breed. Broadcast television itself is a dying institution. Cable, satellite, and the internet are rapidly replacing broadcast, and the sponsors and advertisers know it. To willfully destroy the great internet buzz created by Chrolli is to kill the goose that laid the golden egg, even if you haven’t been able to figure out how to collect the gold yet. It has given you a huge jump start into the future, and an international audience to tap into. Yet the current writing team seems bent on destroying that head start into the future, by intentionally alienating the international fan base. In fact, the only story line at all worth watching currently is Maria / Ansgar / Tanya. The Gregor / Luisa story has become cliché, Sebastian / Lydia / Mattias is just boring, Mattias / Natalie / Ansgar started, and fizzled, Christian’s myocarditis went absolutely nowhere, Charlie is almost invisible, Arno, Olivia, Carla, Stella, Judith and the original Sebastian have all left. I wonder why? When talented actors and actresses, like Kristina, Katrin, and Joscha can’t get out fast enough, it speaks volumes for about the future of the show.

Although American soaps are dying as well, many members of the casts of such long running shows as Days of Our Lives, All My Children, As The World Turns, One Life To Live, etc have been there for twenty years or more.

I really hope the writing improves rapidly. Because if I were in Jo and / or Thore’s shoes, I’d be working very hard to make Transfer At Aachen my ticket out. They are both far too talented for the third rate story line they are being given.

Amen to everything Marita said. Christian and Olli’s Characters are not only being used as plot devices in REbecca’s story, but in any other places the writers feel like sticking them. They are characters with a rich history and a complex relationship and that is something that has been ignored for really far too long. And while most of the characters seem to be in their isolated worlds, it is doubly so for Olli who really only seems to exist from the waist up behind the bar of No Limits. If the writers are going to continue to sacrifice character integrity at the hands of plot, then fine, but at the very least make use of one of the most interested and IMO talented actors you have to drive the plot. This would go a long way to pacifying the audience. AND if plot is going to be the god to which everything is apparently sacrificed, then can we at the very least, have a decent plot? Rebecca is stealing things and feels sad, WOMP WOMP WOMP, who cares?!! I just think the show is suffering from ill use of the talent and lazily deployed story lines. For Example, I really had no problem with Rebecca when she was defending judith from Olivia, and resisting Gregor’s charms. She was confident, exuberant, goal directed, head strong, and sexy. Now Rebecca is dependent, whiny, aimless, timid and spoiled, and frankly no one is going to empathize with that, especially when you throw this unsympathetic combination of traits in the middle of an EXTREMELY popular pairing and expect us to believe that this constellation of characteristics is enticing to someone who’s in a great – no- EPIC relationship. Bitte Nicht.
Please use these actors properly (especially Jo and Thore, who are AMAZING – when they have GOOD material), and please don’t insult our intelligences or our sense of continuity.

VL writers really took a lesson to make Chrolli fans happy. I’m impressed.
- Christian before work – Rebecca is there
-Christian in his lunch break – Rebecca is there.
- Christian after work at the hospital – Rebecca is there
- Christian after work at home – Rebecca is there – with strawberrys, drinks and holding his hand.
…… That’s what Christian and Olli is about. So no wonder some fans are confused why she isn’t with Christian in the vlog(Isn’t she already having more episodes with Christian than Olli and Christian had this year?)
And it seems like this won’t stop. We only see Christian (and Olli) when Rebecca is there (Hugging, Hand holding, so called deep talks and Christian and Olli get nothing, not even their own blog video about them)

Hallo! I’m totally with @ Marita here!! You said it all aloud…When in a show you “destroy the characters’ credibility”, it’s done forever, because the viewer doesn’t know what he’s watching anymore…(NO OFFENCE FOR ANYONE INVOLVED! )

I’ve felt this way too, in the very latest period I was watching it, and kept telling me “which kind of plot I’m really watching right now??!!” not surely the one of the beginning of Chrolli’s story, so it’s normal to lose interest, then the last ep. seen, involving something like 10 sec-long smooching moment between the 2 with Rebecca looking at them (as usual, she’s always in front of them!)…Make me UNCOMFORTABLE, and last but not least, that ending scene with the camera zooming on their hands interwoven…Made me SICK-WORRIED!! Like a bad omen of things to come.. :-/
OMG…& if it’s all an “ILLUMINATI’s conspiracy?!” Ok, I’m joking, don’t worry…It’s all getting too damn serious around this vlog!! ;-D)

Anyways, if it really will translate into a nightmarish plot for us to follow, I guess it will be an haemorrhage of fans too…Since ratings speak for themselves, don’t you think the authors will take notes for changing the route then?!
Naturally assuming that Chrolli’s fans by numbers are IMPORTANT for the show…Because they could be more remarkable for another kind of popularity, honestly I don’t know.
(Of course if a bad turn really is going to ever happen, nobody really know…At least let’s wait what is to come!!) Bye-bye***

PS_@ UkUk I don’t think fans attacked personally the actress Jasmine (apart from some bad exceptions), but the general today’s VL-picture.

All in all I agree with @ IvanIV too; but perhaps Germans have a slightly different perception of certain things…
I mean, I’ve noticed that these clips have been recorded right after filming the official tv-scenes: in my country if ever someone makes a vlog, it’s for being always LIVE or in contact with the audience…
So you can see it’s fictional, Jo & Thore are in their characters’ shoes even here, basically acting on a script, and we’re supposed to fake to be “the friends from Ibiza”, I guess?!
Therefore it’s set to be all a game, am I right? Well, then we’ve to play along too! (In fact 1st time I’ve seen it, I was happily surprised, but confused at the same time, about its real “meaning” ;-P)

For this reason I think the VL-team is quite strict about their “rules”, and with this vlog wanted to keep the audience closer to the show, but they didn’t want/ think fans would have gone any further than that…Not having for real to reply to us, etc…
As simple as that, perhaps because they’re used to fully respect what it’s given to them in Germany, without complaining (at least more than others do!) or getting too linked to it …

Basically to be clear is the motto: in every of their soaps there’s the opening sequence which explains to you, not only who are the main characters, but who’s with who, families’ members, friends, etc…
I swear to you, I’ve never seen it in other countries’ stuff; ’cause it also would have meant spoiling the plot’s surprises, & especially having to stay stick to a previously decided story..
BUT, in this case it could be a blessing too: ’cause if it’s true, assuming they’ve made a title-track with the boyz together in a loving way + their own blog…IMO we can relax, uh?! *_*

Very last thing, I had the impression that the writers, through this last clip, & especially the infamous fake-pee bizarre scene, wanted to wink to us with humor…Unfortunately, it turned out to seem offensive, more than funny…Perhaps they could leave those kind of scenes to a British-team next time around?!? LOL ;-D) C’Ya

I want to say I think Jasmin Lord is really beautiful and a fine actress. I think a lot of the animosity here is really about the Rebecca character and inconsistencies with the character writing in general. It’s obvious there were holes left in the show when Olivia and Judith left and Rebecca is being called in to fulfill both the bad girl and the best friend at the same time, which is a stretch for any character.

I do wish the Chrolli storyline was going somewhere else, though. Any thoughts on a USA vacation, guys? (Maybe even a honeymoon?) You’ve got some friends Olli met in Ibiza that are back home in Florida now and wouldn’t mind a visit from you two!

I’d also like to see Olli and Charlie express some concern about Olivia, even if they are just wondering aloud about her new life in Hollywood…

Ganz lieben Dank an die Macher dieses Blogs, die uns dieses Geschenk gemacht haben….meines Wissens nach einzigartig in der deutschen TV-Welt. Der grösste Dank geht an Jo/Thore….es ist einfach grossartig, dass ihr neben eurer Arbeit diesen Blog für uns macht. Ach….Kompliment….die Teaser sind klasse.

Das Problem ist wirklich das derzeitige ganz schlechte Drehbuch. Es wurden von verantwortlicher Stelle Versprechungen gemacht, sei es per Mail oder Brief, dass neue spanndende Geschichten mit Christian und Olli kommen…es kamen die schon bekannten 2-Folgen Stories, die teilweise sehr lieblos umgesetzt wurden.

Und dann jetzt eben die aufgezwungene Freundschaft zu Rebecca. Das ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Rebecca hat wirklich schon einige Fehler gemacht, z.B. das Verhalten Gregor/Luise gegenüber. Wenn Christian sich jetzt sooooo auf die Seite von Rebecca stellt, Moralpredigten gegenüber ihren Geschwistern hält, seinen Bruder als soo toll rausstellt…ist das so schnell vergessen, was Rebecca mit GreLu gemacht hat????

Das ist einfach eine Verbiegung der Rollen….und darüber beschweren sich die Fans….ZU RECHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ich finde schon, dass auch Kritik an den Autoren zulässig sein sollte.

There is an old saying “If you cannot take the heat in the kitchen, get out”
I was suprised to hear that VL object to or are allergic to criticism.
If the actress in question were in a live Theatre Production, the Press would have had
a field day about her performances, because they are entitled to criticise when they review a play. Therefore they can make or break an actor.
We as the viewing public also have the right to air our opinions regarding the performance of actors.
We allow your Soap Opera into our drawing room, which is our prerogative, yes we do
not have to switch on the television should we not wish to watch it.
But as the viewing public who make soap operas in a way succesful, we have the right to our opinions regarding the stories.
I have been a VL fan for a only few months and enjoyed every minute of it, until
like so many other fans I have found the latest story line between Christian and Robecca unforgiveable and intolerable.
The thought of Christian having a romantic liaison with her, I find repulsive, to say the least.
Are the producers so blind that they cannot see that there is absolutely NO CHEMISTRY between the two? The actress would probably benefit more from doing live theatre, as it is obvious that television is not really her forte.
Please VL, admit this was an error of judgement as far as the story goes, and soon, very soon I hope that the wonderful professional acting of Thore and Jo will reign supreme again.
I do wish you all the very best for future episodes, for you have brought so much happiness to so many people all around the world. That alone proves once again how deeply people appreciate this fantastic series.

So wirklich toll fand ich die Sache mit Rebecca auch nicht, aber mei ändern kann man jetzt ja auch nix mehr und eigentlich ist die Sache ja jetzt durch… und was die Geschichte betrifft, es ist wie scho gesagt wurde: Jeder hat eine 2te Chance verdient. Was wären das für Zustände auf diesem Planeten, wenn keiner einem einen Fehler verzeiht? Dann wär jeder Einzelkämpfer und das geht ja mal nun überhaupt nicht.

Was Thore und Jo angeht – wie immer: souverän, ihren Charakteren gerecht werdend und einfach goodlooking

Aber einer Person muss man mal ein ganz großes Lob aussprechen: Jasmin Lord!
(ohoh ich höre schon die Verwünschungen meiner Person) Sie spielt wirklich toll! Auch wenn die Rolle der Rebecca zur Zeit nicht unbedingt die meistgeliebte ist, als Schauspielerin ist die Rolle bestimmt ein Reiz. Und ich persönlich finde Jasmin bringt das unglaublich gut rüber… schließlich ist es ihr Job und da darf man nicht zimperlich sein, sondern muss sich auch mal anpassen und eben auch mal eine Person darstellen, die nicht Publikumsliebling ist. Wirklich vor Jasmin habe ich ganz großen Respekt, sie macht das echt gut – und ihre Schuld ist es ja nicht, dass ihr Charakter Rebecca so ein bisschen als Schickimicki-Zicke deklariert wird.

I am glad that Rebecca has made good about the whole Christian issue, and I am happy that her and Christian and Olli can be friends again, but, I am wishing that Rebecca can find a love of her own and that love should not be Christian or Olli…

I have to ask that they remain friends dear writers and please give rebecca a love other than Christian…also, cuddos to all the actors for their great work, Jasmin is a beautiful actress who deserves a great storyline of her very own…

please take notice of the warning in red under the vid. It is one thing to rip into the character of rebecca but its a step to far to be nasty about jasmin herself. She is only the actor not the actual character and it must be very upsetting for her if she read some of these comments.

Its the writers who are at fault after all it is them who made the character of Rebecca get so involved with the story of christian and olli. They are the ones to need to turn things round and back to how they used to be.

Dear writers,

It would sometimes be nice to actually hear Christian and Olli speak about what they feel and mean for each other and not always have to listen to hear them talk about other people and other people’s “personal issues” and actions. The whole Rebecca “friendship” has been completely pointless and utterly ridiculous from the start and I simply want (the writers) to forget the whole friendship and everything between Rebecca and Chrolli as fast as possible. The current storyline is insulting to our loyalty to the show (and to our intelligence). One would think Gregor (and Andi) would have been concerned about Christian (in the episodes about two weeks ago), and about how his potential incarceration might have affected Christian’s present and future plans – but no, “of course” we can’t have that in a Rebecca story. Because that is what this is – a Rebecca story and nothing more – and there’s just no way I will ever be able to see this from Rebecca’s point of view, nor would I even want to. If the Rebecca scenes continue, there’s a risk that I am going to lose more and more of my emotional connection to the show. Part of that has already happened, because the actions of the characters are only loosely (or not at all) based on the history of
the characters (the often-mentioned Christian never being able to forgive Olivia but forgiving Rebecca with a snap of fingers being the most glaring example) and there are days I am simply not feeling “it” anymore. This Friday’s episode (04.12.2009) was the first time ever I literally felt bad watching VL – not just frustrated and annoyed – but really bad. I don’t know which scene was worse, the one where
Christian “threatened” to pour the urine sample over his head (why on earth would he grovel before Rebecca like that?) or the one with the group hug (comparing Rebecca to Judith definitely won’t make us like her – it only serves to infuriate us further). This vlog certainly didn’t make me feel any better.

It is simply impossible to understand why the characters act the way they do these days because we are rarely given any insight into their feelings (and Christian and Olli have truly been treated the worst in this regard). It’s all about plot, plot, plot these days and characters and their motivations seem to pretty expendable and
unessential in that game. The different stories of the show used to be tightly interwoven and now it’s like everyone exists in their own private worlds/parallel universes. For one Chrolli scene there are at least three scenes about Rebecca and how she feels bad about herself on a given day – as this has been going on for months, we are at the end of our rope and running out of patience. Yes, we can see that Rebecca is miserable but we (and I really dare to say most if not all of us) don’t
care – and nor should Christian&Olli always care so much about other people’s feelings, either if it means that the Chrolli scenes are constantly sacrificed to follow the reactions of those other people. And as for Rebecca not having any (other) friends? Oh please! What about Lydia (weren’t Rebecca and Lydia once upon a time the bestest of buddies, along with Judith?) and Luise (didn’t Rebecca and Luise put all their differences behind them and become such good friends again that Rebecca was even in the wedding party, after everything that she did to try to break Gregor and Luise up)?

No more Rebecca in the Chrolli story – both Christian&Olli and Rebecca would be better off socializing with the people who they actually have even a little bit of real history with – and please, please, please give us real, actual, meaty scenes with just our two favourite guys (who Thore and Jo still play so beautifully whenever they are given the chance).

Last but not least, I am not writing this message because I fear a potential Christian/Rebecca pairing (nor are the anti-Rebecca feelings about that) – I hope and I believe the writers have enough integrity and enough respect for us fans not to do something like that. I am writing this message because like most Chrolli fans, I simply strongly dislike the following things: the unbelievable “friendship” and the fact that Christian and Olli, especially Christian are acting out of character all the time and that both Olli’s and Christian’s characters are being bent to accommodate the Rebecca story.

I never thought I’d willingly skip a Chrolli/Christian or Olli episode or consider taking a break from VL but especially the latest Christian and Rebecca nonsense is pushing me pretty close to the limit. I cannot watch Rebecca hijack anymore Chrolli scene so please make it stop.

Well, I am one of your newest fans: I’ve been watching the show only for four days (of course just the Chrolli part on youtube) and I almost reached the latest episodes XD Yes, that’s your fault!:D You are too good, guys I just wanna thank you all your hard work on the show, you made a really great entertainment for us, fans And I couldn’t believe that you are also making a blog! It was a very good idea, I am sending thousand of kisses for the idea’s owner

Anyway, my German knowledge is also improving thanks to you! And this is a big word, because I didn’t love the language at all. My teacher is the worst, so it’s no wonder. But I am getting interested more and more Maybe I can take the language exam in the next year? Who knows?

So to sum, all I wanted to say: thank you! And I also wanna tell you, although I haven’t got a clue what will happen in the next episodes, I can’t understand this big outcry about the Rebecca-thing. People should know this is just a soap opera Personally, I also wouldn’t like if Chrolli break up, but it happens in every show. But Christian and Olli’s love is just too strong, I don’t think that they could stand without each other for so long.
So, dear girls: calm down!

Die Chrolli-Geschichte ist rund um den Globus sehr sehr beliebt! Leider ist aber die Figur Rebecca bei den Fans total unbeliebt. Rebecca (und ich meine damit ausdrücklich NUR DIE ROLLE!!!) ist dumm, inkonsequent, verwöhnt, aufgetakelt – ne richtige Tussi halt. Ein schwules Paar und eine Tussi – das geht gar nicht! Es gibt genügend natürliche nette weibliche VL-Figuren und auch Andi und Gregor passen bestens zu Chrolli – ebenso Luise. Wozu also braucht es Rebecca, die bei den Fans extrem unbeliebt ist?

Nehmt es als Gedankenanstossl…

So you say it’s OK to criticise the show and the characters, but not writers and the actors. But that’s wrong. Writers write the script and actors bring it to life. Somebody real is responsible for a low quality of writing on VL in general lately and for insisting on having an inexperienced actress to carry bigger storylines at the expense of better actors. Add to it that this character is written as spoiled, extremely unlikable, doing mean things to people around her (Gregor, Luise, now Christian). Also she’s seen as a threat to a couple this blog is about. Put this all together and you must understand why these reactions. It’s still not a reason not to be civil, but it’s only happening because people (still) care and can’t see the programme they still love to be slowly destroyed. You should capitalise on talent and popularity of actors you have and not risk for whatever reason by giving too big challenges to actors who are not ready for them.

OMG…what a mess with all this buzz…Even a VL-official warning?! Ok, I don’t think people meant to offend actors or so, isn’t it?? They were simply sick & tired of the general Chrolli’s situation; but, again, as others have already said, if there’s still all this hot affection for the boys, sure it’s a good sign for the show itself.

Besides, naturally we-fans have to accept that the storylines are up to the writers, & respect that: SORRY if someone got a little too upset!! Probably it’s also ’cause it’s a tv-show, if you’re used to watch it on a daily basis, you feel more attached than a film seen just once, I guess…

Anyways, the thing that has surprised me most, (since I see onlt the videoclips on YT of VL, I can’t compare with the whole show) was too read all these speculations, without nothing REAL bad haapening for Chrolli….So, be cool everyone, let’s wait how the plot wil turn out to be, before critizing everything of this.

Sorry but I find it kind of insulting to imply that Chrolli fans can’t tell the difference between fact and fiction. We are all well aware that VL is a soap, that the No Limits bar doesn’t actually exist and that when the cameras stop rolling, the actors, Jo and Thor included, return to their real lives.The vast majority of the comments posted here simply bemoan the absence of decent storylines, while at the same time expressing despair at the way the character of Rebecca has been shoehorned into the Chrolli story.

Yes, comments have been made about Jasmine Lord’s acting abilities but in what way is that a personal attack? If she were appearing on the stage, or in a feature film, her performance would be subjected to the same level of scrutiny and perhaps criticism. That’s just part and parcel of life as a professional actor or actress The truth is the Rebecca character is ill defined and confusing and even the most experienced actress would find it hard to make viewers feel at all sympathetic towards her .

I thought the point of the blog was to give fans the chance to air their views and opinions about Chrolli characters and their storylines. Yes, there should be boundaries in place but I’m not aware that anyone here has actually crossed any. Views have been passionately expressed but that is because after two years fans feel invested in the Chrolli storyline. A number of Chrolli fans have already made it clear they won’t be posting here anymore as it seems criticisms of storylines, or individual characters are being actively discouraged. I sincerely hope that isn’t the case. Surely the fact that fans take the time to watch the blogs and then comment is a positive thing which should be supported not criticised.

Wenn das ganze nicht so traurig wäre, müsste man wirklich lauthals lachen.

Schade, dass man nicht mit 0 Punkten werten kann, denn 1 ist schon einer zuviel! Und im Minusbereich der Bewertung für ihre Leistung bewegen sich derzeit die Autoren von VL!

Glückwunsch dazu, dass man sein Vorzeigepaar Nr. 1 so gegen die Wand fährt.

Ist aber vermutlich egal, denn die handvoll Abstimmungswütigen für JL bei der sagenumwobenen Wahl zur Miss Soap werdens schon reißen! Von denen schaut zwar vermutlich kein einziger VL, aber Chrolli-Fans hat man dann mit der Pony-Pusherei durch Chrolli immerhin auch nicht mehr am Hals.

Das muss ja das ausgelobte Ziel sein, oder? Anders lässt sich die Vorgenhensweise in der Serie und im Blog und die Vergewaltigung der Rollen jedenfalls nicht erklären!!!!

Ok so some may have got carried away with their comments..but at least there is this passion in regards to a Chrolli storyline again. And honestly this is nothing compared to some of the attacks when “McDean” was happening. Welcome to international status and the hysteria that goes along with it.

Anyway I’m not sure what to think just yet about the current Chrolli storyline. I can’t work out why Chrebecca are friends? It just seems false but I’m glad of a new storyline anyways. But please don’t change the characters too much I like them as they are

Ok VL Authors, you know how to ‘Soften’ a very hard heart. I can not stand to see a woman cry! Wonderful Nanna’s latest video clip has made me realize Rebecca really wants to Redeem herself afterall.
If I may make a suggestion to the VL Authors – Put the Rebecca character into a job at a hospital where she sees, for the first time, The birth of a baby, The death of a child, The death of a young mother, or the Trauma of a fatal auto accident victim. Any of the above scenes would help the character of Rebecca mature and develope. The scenes would also be easier to watch than to see any with the Rebecca character in a romantic scene with Christian.
Ollie, you had better ‘Fasten Your Seatbelt,’ I hear it is going to be a ‘Bumpy’ ride!

Jo and Thore.. Well Guys.. I’ve read almost all comment and have to say – these all emotions, so many reactions.. Are they not the greatest complements for You as Actors? Realize that:) Some of your Colleges dream about somthing like that.. Fans are sometimes mistaken real world with fiction.. Well..
But still.. There’s some right in all that buzz.. I hope you’ll get a decent stuff in script to deliver such a briliant performance next Year as well as You did about 1,5 year ago:) when the Ollian Thing accually has born for many people in the world. C’ya!

Ich finde diesen Hinweis in rot ja nicht gerade sehr gelungen, vor allem den Satz “Bitte wahrt auch die Grenze zwischen fiktiven und realen Personen” bei einer Adressierung des ganzen an alle Chrolli-Fans.
Das ist eine Pauschalisierung die hier mMn alle kollektiv für blöd erklärt.

Das ist für mich nicht weniger eine Beleidigung oder ein Angriff, wie die die ihr damit kritisieren wollt. Vielleicht wäre es ja möglich diesem “Verhaltenskodex” den zynismus zu nehemen durch weglassen dieses Satzes.

Is im Moment schon ein bisschen schwer sich an den Blogs zu erfreuen bei dem Inhalt und den Begleitumständen.

I’m a big Chrolli fan and I’m looooonging for a new storyline. But we should all calm down and be a little more self-critical. Has anyone thought about how Thore and Jo as actors must feel, when they read our comments? I think they’re not always amused… Dislike or hate are two different things!
I really wish, that Thore and Jo get motivated by our comments to continue their blog for a very LONG time – we shouldn’t take their commitment for granted.

Chrolli ist eine tolle Story aber es ist und bleibt eine fiktive Story nicht vergessen.
Ich sehe das ganz locker das solltet ihr auch am Ende wird alles gut!!Eben wie es sich für eine tolle Soap wie Verbotene Liebe gehört.
Euch alle lieben Schreiber hier etwas mehr Optimismus..

also die schauspielerin von rebecca spielt echt gut und sie kann ja als rebecca auch weiterspielen, eine andere geschichte wäre trotzdem echt cool

Naja, ABCD, wer auch immer diesen Blog verbrochen hat, hat eben erwartet, dass wir alle nicken und den beiden Charakteren, die Olli und Christian so verblüffend ähnlich sehen, brav zustimmen. Da war man auf Kritik eben nicht vorbereitet und ist ein wenig panisch geworden ;D

Anm. zu heute: Ich hab mich in der Mediathek durch die Folge gespult. Chrolli-Küsschen: süß. Kollektives Händchenhalten: Was zum Kuckuck…?!
Ich bin mal gespannt, ob ich im Januar wieder anfangen kann, VL zu gucken, oder ob es das jetzt wirklich für mich war ;(

Danke für die Verhaltensregeln. Wenn das nicht hier so stehen würde, hätte ich jetzt bestimmt was völlig falsches geschrieben.

Hinweis: da über 50 % der Kommentare hier in englisch sind, sollte man die “Warnung” auch in dieser Sprache veröffentlichen….oder???

Das sich die Autoren nicht schämen!

Zu Gunsten einer einzigen Rolle macht man etwas kaputt, was es so in 14 Jahren VL noch nicht gegeben hat.
Und warum das ganze? Weil man Jasmin Lord nach dem Gewinn einer Schönheitswahl auf Biegen und Brechen Sendezeit verschaffen wollte, ohne sich vorher eine Geschichte auszudenken, die zu der Rolle passt!

Anstatt, dass man eine Geschichte erzählt, die nachvollziehbar ist und die mit Nebenfiguren besetzt ist, die der Reife von Rebecca eher entsprechen, knallt man das Pony ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste mit 2 Männern zusammen und ruiniert dadurch alles, was bisher war.
Sehen die Autoren nicht, was sie damit anrichten oder wollen sie es nicht sehen? Das Gespann Chris-Olli und das Pony wirkt in etwa so, als würde man eine girly-Freundschaft zwischen Rebecca und Charlie erzählen, wo sich beide bunte Spangen ins Haar flechten, sich gegenseitig schminken und kichernd über der Bravo sitzen, um über Robert Pattinson zu schwärmen.

Genauso fühlt sich diese Geschichte jetzt für mich an. Man macht Christian und Oliver damit komplett lächerlich. Man stellt sie in jeder Folge bloß. Charaktereigenschaften lassen sich überhaupt nicht mehr nachvollziehen.
Dass Olli und Chris eine ernstzunehmende Beziehung führen, lässt sich schon lange nicht mehr erkennen. Den beiden wird keine romantische Zeit zugestanden. Sie dürfen sich permanent nur über das Liebensglück von anderen freuen. Sie dürfe keine Gespräche mehr führen, sondern nur Muffins hinter der Theke rüber reichen. Der Fan kann sich ja dann schon denken, dass das eine Versöhnung sein sollte. Sie stellen keine Einheit mehr dar, sondern müssen sich von einander entfremden, damit man eine Freundschaft erzählen kann, die so abgrundtief unglaubwürdig ist, dass mir dafür keine Worte mehr einfallen. Warum ist so eine Verbiegung nötig? Als Chrolli noch mit Judith befreundet waren, konnten sie auch ein Paar sein, sie konnten sich lieben, sich konnten miteinander reden, sie konnten zärtlich miteinander sein, sie konnten ihre Probleme miteinander lösen.

Kurz: Sie durften sie selbst sein.

Davon ist jetzt nichts mehr zu spüren. Der Chrolli Charme ist jedenfalls für mich dahin. Ich weiß nicht, ob man den mit einer guten Geschichte im Januar wieder herzaubern kann. Es ist in den letzten Monaten sehr viel kaputt gegangen. Vielleicht zu viel.
Das was hier passiert ist einfach nur noch traurig. Und Jo und Thore tun mir dabei am meisten leid. Dass man ihnen ihr Engagement so dankt, ist eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit.

Die Autoren sollten sich wirklich schämen. Es ist ihr Beruf Geschichten zu erzählen, Charaktere zu entwickeln, Handlungen nachvollziehbar dazustellen. Zu nichts, aber auch gar nichts davon sind sie in der Lage.
Wenn man diese unsäglichen Handlungsstränge von Chrolli und Rebecca auch im Januar nicht voneinander trennt, sind Chrolli nicht mehr zu retten. Und wenn die Autoren auf und nieder springen:

DAS WIRD NIEMALS EINE FREUNDSCHAFT SEIN!!!

Sollte man vorhaben, diesen bis jetzt dargebotenen frühpubertären Müll als Basis dafür zu nutzen, dass sich Mann wie Christian angeblich zu einer unreifen, egoistischen, feigen, dreisten und hinterhältigen Frau wie Rebecca hingezogen fühlen soll und bei ihr auf Verständnis stößt, was ihm sein Freund mit Anfang 30 (!!!!) nicht geben kann, dann hat man damit eine Geschichte endgültig und unwiederbringlich ruiniert, die einst so zauberhaft begonnen und hat und mit ihrer Magie so viele Fans auf der ganzen Welt in ihren Bann gezogen hat.

Und das alles für eine einzige Rolle.

You only have to read the forums to know that people are very upset.

After today’s episode many are now simply refusing to watch anymore, they have had enough. If you think it’s just talk you’re mistaken, people cannot bare to see Christian with the spoiled shallow Rebecca and his obvious developing feelings for her, which to us is simply contrived, forced and makes no sense at all.

You have made a big mistake if you think the fans will stick around to watch the writers ruin the beautiful love story of Christian and Olli.

No one can resist you either Olli! And you didn’t fool me with that Apple Juice bit in the hospital Christian, but Rebecca’s face was priceless.

@ Kes…Of course I can sympathize with you in your “grief”!!

You’re totally right, as many other fans’ smart sensitive comments did too…
Besides, you’re so keen on VL, for sure you know much more than I do, even in details, (since I’m aware of this soap, through Chrolli, just from this past summer: I’ve watched just the main plot-lines until nowadays) than I can’t compare my critical POV to yours or the hard-core fans…

Anyways, I simply wanted to stress that, probably, we’ve been too attached to these characters, and sometimes it can happen to be in the end “crashed & burned”, like in a real love-affair…’Cause we virtually fall in love with this idea of perfect characters, to be, most of the times, disappointed in the end.

I know ’cause it happens to me with another show, with one of my fav actors leaving it, breaking the couple (there’s still some hope, that’s not for good, but I’ve quit by now)…After a wonderful story & almost sure happy-ending finale, just bacause the actress chose to leave it for contract-issues, etc…
So I’ve understood by it, that I can’t trust soaps anymore: they’ve basically have to run for almost endless time, with practical problems to solve, & it’s better to enjoy what is given, without being too emotionally involved / close to it (TOO BAD, I know!! :’-/)
Moreover, you sure know from your US-series, that writers have some rule not written to follow (if the series has got an arc of more than 1 year, etc..): then perhaps, as someone has said once, before coming to watch a show, wait to see if it’s running for an average/ long period, so to be sure you can really enjoy a good storyline with your “heroes”, without awful surprises… ;-P)

I’ve read here some adds poiting out all the subtle nuances of these characters, as if they were real persons, but since is only fictional, it can happens bad things out of a blue, like for Olivia’s character, for inst…Better not to read “too much” into the lines, IMO, because I guess neither the actors themselves do it, they’ve to rush filming with soaps’ pace, it’s not a theatre-performance or a cinema d’essai’s one…
They do their best from what is given to them, not knowing what will happen to their roles in the future.

All in all, really is very moving the whole love-vibe towards these guys, on & off screen…A real phenomenon worlwide (as a matter of fact, I have to thank this vlog for discoverig them, by chance!), only my humble suggestion is to not lose the pleasure of viewing (ok, or taking eventually a break, if things get unbelievable messed! ;-o), taking it too seriously, as a matter of death/ life…Thank God it’s not the case, I’m sure Chrolli will get back on the right track for 2010, and we’ll have a laugh about the whole drama!!

PS_ I was a little worried reading freaking comments on 1 of their old interview, about obsessed people underlyning that Jo touched Thore’s leg, he stole the food from his mouth ’cause even in real life he acted like a “wife” to the other…Or viceversa, however delirious stuff like that…I mean, please, I don’t want to sound like a snob, I’m happy for them but I’m beginning to understand why Twilight’s Pattinson had to hire all those bodyguards!! ;-D) C U, Ciao*

I just want to say thank you to Jo, Thore and the VL team for giving us this great love story for almost two years now. It also helped me pick up my German which has been getting really rusty to say the least. Still, I suppose all good things must come to an end and my dreambox broke today of all days so I couldn’t watch the episode. I think I’ll take it as a hint and say goodbye. I’m not even going to watch it on the mediathek – don’t have the courage after hearing about it.

Anyway – it’s been great but it’s time to move on as have so many of my favourite characters from the show. If (as some are saying on this board) Jo Weil is leaving the show as well, I see no point in watching anymore. Thanks again and goodbye.

Ich trau es den Autoren wirklich zu, dass man das hier bald “Chribecca” Blog nennt….
Heute wurde der Charakter Christian noch nen Stückchen mehr durch die Scheiße gezogen. Es war sogar schon so weit das ich dachte: Gott sei Dank muss Olli offscreen Kaffee ausschenken damit sein “Ansehen” nicht genauso leiden muss. Die Szenen mit Christian und Rebecca sind echt ziemlich abstoßend, besonderes wie erbärmlich der Körperkontakt hergestellt wird (Wenn es wenigstens noch irgendjemanden gefallen würde, irgendeiner Fan Gruppe, aber das bezweifel ich irgendwie stark) Ich finde echt, selbst Olli würde natürlicher mit einer (oder dieser) Frau wirken.

Naja, ein gutes hat es. Wenn man das übersteht, kann einen so leicht dann nichts mehr erschüttern

Im just sad that poor Olli won’t know whats happening between Christian and Rebecca

Eine ordentliche Portion mehr Feingefühl bei der Themenwahl wäre in der Tat wünschenswert.

Immerhin sollte der Blog etwas sein, womit man den vielen Chrolli-Fans eine Freude -zusätzlich zur Serie- machen wollte. Leider ist es ja aber durch das offenkundige Desinteresse der Autoren an Chrolli in diesem Jahr dazu gekommen, dass der Blog tatsächlich aber der einzige Lichtblick für die Chrolli-Fans geworden ist. Traurig genug. Dass man dann aber noch nicht mal hier die Freundlichkeit besitzt den Fans etwas zu zeigen, was ihnen auch Freude bereitet, ist einfach unverschämt und dann braucht man sich auch nicht wundern, wenn dann die Emotionen hochkochen.

Dass man sich in der Serie nicht wünschen kann, was einem für sein Lieblingspaar gerade am besten gefällt ok, aber wenigstens der Blog sollte doch dann nach den Wünschen der Fans gestaltet werden.

Es kann den Machern des Blogs wohl kaum verborgen bleiben, dass die Geschichte mit Rebecca und Chrolli bei den Fans nicht sonderlich gut ankommt, wenn ich es mal freundlich ausdrücken will. Warum quält man dann die Fans jede Woche auf Neue damit, dass man Chrolli dazu zwingt über diese Person zu reden und das, obwohl das keiner hören will, geschweigen denn nach allem, was einem da so geboten wurde in der letzten Zeit, mehr ertragen kann.
Das ist schon ziemlich frech den Fans gegenüber. Und auch gegenüber Jo und Thore. Die beiden mühen sich wirklich redlich, diesen Blog zu gestalten und können dann noch nicht mal auf positive Fanreaktionen hoffen, weil den Fans der Blog völlig vergällt wird.

Wenn man bei VL Jasmin Lord gerne pushen will, weil man das für nötig hält: Bitte, aber nicht im Chrolli-Blog. Dann soll sie ihren eigenen Blog bekommen oder irgendein anderes Medium, womit sie versuchen können diese Rolle bei den Fans beliebt zu machen. Mit und Durch Chrolli gelingt es nicht und wenn sich die Autoren auf den Kopf stellen. Das ist vergebene Liebesmüh und macht es von Aktion zu Aktion schlimmer.

@Reiner: Warum sollen Jo und Thore alles was uns nervt ganz genauso schlimm finden? Vielleicht stört sie Rebecca gar nicht sooo sehr wie manche von uns. Und Küsschen hier Küsschen da, wenn ihnen das Drehbuch für den Blog nicht gefällt und alles ist toll ist doch totaler Quatsch. Auch wenns uns nicht gefällt. Sie sind Schauspieler und wenn sie professionell sind machen sie das was ihnen das Drehbuch sagt und geben dafür alles. Vor unprofessionellen Darstellern, die nur das spielen was ihnen gefällt hat doch keiner Respekt.

Elizabeth has been just fabulous in her role as family matriarch this week. She has been electric — powerful, coniving, yet also caring and vulnerable. Her scenes with the wonderfully imagined Maria were tantalizing.

Martina Servatius and Simone Ritscher are talented beyond my ability to describe.

The writing of their characters has been outstanding.

That’s why I get so impassioned: it is so clear to me that VL has talent behind-the-scenes, that I get angry when I see that talent not put to its full use.

Once again, please use my comments. Take what is useful, and leave the rest.

Hi Viola! I’ve been very angry in my statements this past weekend.

I just want to say this: I love VL. I just am a bit concerned for the show as whole.

I see the issue with Christian and Olli as being a symtom of a larger problem that may end up disenchanting viewers.

I admire all the hard work the writers put into their jobs. I think it is wonderful that VL has a woman as a headwriter. And I know the producer works hard, too.

I just find VL a bit mediocre right now. There are bright and beautiful moments when the talent of the writers comes through. Just look at the wonderful Tanja hallucinations. They are so witty and intriguing. (The Justus striptease was a thing to behold! Marvelous!) The Ansgar/Maria semi-incestuous paring is deliciously twisted.

I know if I were to to think about it, I could trace more moments. I’ll give another: the wonderful acting, writing, producing and directing of the scenes with Gregor in the hospital. Everything worked, and, of course, Mascha, Thore and Huburtus (and Andreas, albeit in a more passive role) were at the top of their game. Every scene was compelling. The writing was complex, multilayered, and both unpredictable and true-to-life. Christian would be loving to Luise one moment, and screaming at her the next. Luise would be composed and brave one moment, and then scurring around to make a CD the next. They acted just as people do in such situations — and I was riveted. (I only with Jo had been there: that was a lapse, for Olli would never abandon Christian in this way.)

But that was fine writing.

I hope the writers can take these comments and use them. I know the writers have a thankless job. They probably get a lot of criticism and little praise. I just want them (and the producer — who really is the one in charge here, the man who should be held to account, as he supervises the teams) to be aware that people have concerns, not merely about Christian and Olli, but about the show itself.

It’s just that Chrolli is so special, that fans will voice their concerns, and loudly, because they want to watch VL, and want the magic to continue.

Other fans might just stop watching. There are other fine shows to watch. Why stay tuned in to something that is mediocre unless one has a real reason?

So aside from the fact that Chrolli is a beautiful creation, and truly revolutionary, it is also what we call in America the “canary in the coalmine.” The Chrolli fans (like the Carla fans) will be the first to scream when something is wrong. This is a wonderful thing for VL — for it gives them an alarm when the entire show may need looking at.

Of course, they can choose to do whatever they want. However, do they want to stay afloat in the long run? Do they want to produce something in which they can take pride?

That is the question.

VL: Thanks for garnering the passion you do! Remember: People would not be writing angry words if they were not completely enamored with and taken with what you do.

It is a complement to this show that people love what you have created this much.

I also want to commend Scarpien, Fleur7 and ivika for excellent comments, I couldn’t have said it any better. Especially Scarpien, for pointing out that the negative comments are not an attack against Chrolli or Jo and Thore but in fact the exact opposite.

A special mention to ChrissiOlli as well for reminding us what a good friendship is all about and how its established and why Rebecca is not believable as a good friend to Chrolli (a couple of contrived shopping tours together are not enough to form real closeness).

I hope and believe the writers can do better, maybe in January?

Hey, I’ve got a good idea. Why not just have Rebecca to do the next blog? She can tell us in her own words what a great person she is, why framing Christian for shoplifting isn’t a big deal and that’s it’s unreasonable of us to hold any of it against her.She can explain why getting covered in pee and ending up on the front cover of a paper is much, much worse than everyone believing that Christian liked stealing women’s clothes or the stress Christian and Olli were under when they thought Christian might end up back in jail. It was only fair that Christian end up apologising to her and that he and Olli give her a group hug. Because after all, she’s their bestest friend in the whole wide world and she did nothing at all to deserve them ignoring her for days. If she didn’t happen to be such a kind and understanding person she might have held out for a lot more than a slice of cake before agreeing to forgive them.

When she’s done with that she can end by telling us why a Chribecca romance will be much more interesting than anything Chrolli had to offer and that we’re being blind and stupid to think otherwise. After all it should be obvious to everyone that she and Christian are real soulmates. Look how much they have in common, look at the great chemistry they share and of course anyone can see how great they look together. There’ll be no question about them clinching next year’s Mr and Miss Soap contest and we all know how important that is. She can sign off by revealing some of the gripping storylines she and Christian are going to have mostly involving horses and shoplifting sprees and how their make out sessions are guaranteed to steam to steam up the screen. Pretty soon we’ll forget that Chrolli ever existed and be petitioning the writers and producer for a Chribecca wedding, a Chribecca baby. Wait forget that, what about a Chribecca spin off show?

Its always great to see you two even though I (not unlike many others it seems) didn’t enjoy the topic. I can’t say much about Rebecca that hasn’t already been said so I’ll just contend with: I am not a fan.

As for Judith and Constantin, I miss them too. Especially Judith, your TRUE best friend, who left so quickly and unsuspectedly.

You know who else I miss? OLIVIA. I know she could be a bitch but she also had her nice moments (at least in the good old days), and she was always entertaining and fun. Don’t you miss her at all, Olli? You guys were so close once. Yes her latest stunt before leaving was bad but if you could forgive Rebecca you should be able to forgive Olivia as well. I would love to see you (and your aunt Charlie) try and get in contact with her or at least find out where she is. But of course it doesn’t matter what I think, you know best what to do .

Anyway, I agree with all the commenters who have hoped that more focus should be on Ollian/Chrolli and their relationship instead of this ‘acting as sidekicks in Rebecca’s story’ nonsense. I don’t think its unfair to ask that; after all, the writers should be professionals and write good and interesting storylines for all characters every once in a while, not just their favorite ones.
I want great drama for our favorite couple, in fact, I don’t even mind a (temporary) break up btw them as long as its WELL WRITTEN.

I know this is a soap and that the writers have many characters to consider at the same time which can’t be easy. Still, I don’t think its unreasonable to expect an interesting, captivating, PLAUSIBLE story for Chrolli that makes sense to the characters instead of making us wonder “Who are these people?”

And finally, to Jo and Thore (if you read this). I hope you don’t mind the negative comments that people are making here as they are not in any way directed at you. The fact that your fans are frustrared and even angry just shows that we still care about Chrolli. And that is all thanks to you two.
So thank you for everything you do, including this vlog entry. You were great in it as always. BTW Jo, you’re looking yummier and yummier everyday, how is that even possible .

Much as I love seeing Chrolli twice in one week, this is desperate. Do the writers and producers really believe that hijacking a Chrolli vlog to force Miss Soap down our throats yet again will make us suddenly fall in love with her? It would be laughable if it weren’t so pathetic. I just feel very sorry for Jo and Thor being used in this way to prop up a weak character and an even weaker actress.

On top of that Rebecca is now being sold to us as their best friend. Even Lydia has never been described in that way and she lived with them, hung out with them, looked to them for help and advice, gave them help and advice and invited them to her wedding. Yet we’re being asked to believe that two grown men would be best friends with a child/woman like Rebecca whose main topics of conversation are clothes, not having any money to buy clothes and who isn’t above shoplifting in order to get clothes. Rather than want to spend every waking hour with her, they’d be head for the nearest exit every time she showed her face and that’s before she almost landed Christian in jail.

I’m not even going to get into the whole pee and forgiveness saga because it’s just too stupid for words. Did the writer or producer who came up with that little gem really believe that a) it was at all funny or b) it would make us support Chrolli’s decision to forgive her and love her for ever more? I think the fact this vlog was so hastily rushed out indicates they know it pretty much failed on both counts.

To make matters worse there is every indication that the writers intend breaking up Chrolli in order to have Christian go off with Rebecca. Forget the fact there isn’t an ounce of chemistry between Thor and Jasmine Lord, is there anyone and I mean anyone who really buys into the idea that Christian with his sense of morals would would leave his greatest love Olli in order to hook up with a proven liar and thief who can’t even hold down the simplest job? Look how he reacted to Olivia and her schemes and the worst Olivia ever did was threaten to out him to the box club.

I’ve followed the Chrolli story right from the beginning and stuck with it for the last four or five months even when it was clear the writers had lost interest in them as a couple but the idea of Christian and Rebecca is more than I can take. The day Chribecca happens I’ll be done with VL and I won’t be back until Chrolli have been reunited and given some sensible storylines and Rebecca has been relocated to somewhere far, far away.

Jo and Thore I am surprized that two actors of your caliber agreed to perform that awfull seen with Rebecca bearing flowers as a peace offering, in fact the whole story line about Rebecca is rubbish.Please , the Script writers and Producers must not under estimate viewers intelligence by producing such a lot of utter nonsense.It was enough top put me off from viewing future episode’s of VL.If it wasnt for Christian and Olli I certainly would do it. Bite Bite Bite listen to your viewing public,we are the poeple who make these shows popuar after all if we do not watch it whats the point of doing it . I don’t know how you would do it, but a visit to Judith and Konstantin in London would be great to see. If that doesn’t work, how about Judith and Konstantin come back to Düsseldorf for Christmas? It would be great to see them again even if it was only at a No Limits Christmas party.

I was surprised to see the scene in Verbotene Liebe with the urine bath. I am surprised that a German audience didn’t find the scene completely geschmacklos.

What was the intention of the urine? To generate Schadenfreude in the audience? Or to make the TV audience feel sorry for Rebecca because: this shouldn’t happen to German nobility, or she is too pretty to have this happen to her, or this should never happen to people who come from rich families, or all of the above? Accidents happen in hospitals everyday.

People might have more tolerance for Rebecca if there were some degree of character growth. The spoiled little rich girl gets old very quickly.

Reading in the forums some of the crabby comments about Chrollli / Chribecca’s nightmarish paranoia / writers’ supposed madness, etc… Oh my gosh, I wanted to add my POV too!
I’ve had the impression that, generally speaking, we (fans) are losing the grip on the OBJECTIVITY.

All in all, we shouldn’t forget that this is not (at least still! ;-D) the CHROLLI SPIN-OF SERIES;that REBECCA-WITCH is simply one of the many unpleasant or evil characters that alternate in this VL, like in every other soap: she’s simply part of a whichever story written by these authors.

Even if it’s bad/ painful to watch (’cause everyone of us has already his own idea of the kind of story we fancies), we have to respect their decisions, ’cause it’s not up to us, but them to decide what to write down…Unfortunately, keep in mind, we can only suggest our preferences, not force them; so they can even kill, as they’ve created, Christian-Olli…(Uber-sorry for the blasphemy I’ve said, but you see my point!)
Given that, perhaps the only weapon we really have, is not to watch the show “until a change of direction”?! Or also this is a wishful thinking?? :-/

Honestly I don’t know if the whole audience is so worried like us for Chrolli’s fate: or instead most of them (I guess older people or traditional families) prefer other (royal) plots…

Moreover, I’m starting to believe that both gay/ straight viewers support the romantic “ethero-classic” idea of “married with children” & “living happily ever after” in the end (don’t get me wrong, I would like to see a ring in their future too..;-*): however, since in VL, as far as I know, the only married couples are the traditional ones, perhaps they don’t want to move in that direction, in Chrolli’s case too…Or are they instead the EXCEPTION? Wait & see…(Ok, this suspance is killing me too! ;-P)
I’m not an expert of gay tv-series either, but I’ve noticed that usually all the attention is focused on the drama of discovering to be “different”, or on the passionate “forbidden” love: then in the end someone dies or breaks up wit family / ex, leaving town…

It’s so rare to see a story more authentic, less dramatically cliched! In the past Chrolli’s had been this kind of happy exception: nowadays it’s like they actually don’t exist anymore, by the way I want to believe it’s a temporary thing.
If not, not being addicted only to the handsome boys, but especially to the unforgettable once good plot, I’ll give up VL for following Jo & Thore in future roles (’cause I don’t think they would like to stick in the background for ever & ever, uh??!! )

WOW ChrissieOlli!! Everything you said hit the nail squarely on the head. Olli has worked enough shifts for all the employees at NoLimits combined, and then some–thanks to Gregor’s total disregard for shouldering his fair share in this supposed partnership–so I’m sure he’s saved enough money for him and Christian to take some time off and just be Chrolli. It seems of late that even when Olli and Christian are alone, Rebecca is in the scene in spirit because they’re either discussing her or arguing about her. Here it is, Gregor is Christian’s brother yet he and Olli don’t spend 1/10 the time discussing him or Luise as they do Rebecca. She seems to have saturated every single pore of Chrolli’s existence, and that in itself is NOT a good sign. And as if that weren’t enough, to insult us even further, we’re asked like her?!! Not happening! We Love Chrolli!! That’s it!

ITA with your post. Too many characters on the show have been left struggling with unbelievably crass storylines and sadly Chrolli are at the top of the list.

It was all so different at the beginning. Then we had Christian’s struggle to accept the fact that he had fallen in love with a guy, his reluctance to come out to his brother, then the boxing saga followed by Olli’s attack and their subsequent fight to get justice. Olli’s desire to do more with his life and Christian’s heart problems. These were strong storylines and attracted a truly international audience who only heard of VL after discovering Chrolli. But sadly it’s been a long time since Chrolli fans have had anything even approaching a satisfying storyline. Instead we’ve been given the character of Rebecca who has been shoved onto Chrolli at every turn because it’s hard to know where she fits in and with whom.

To make matters worse Chrolli themselves have undergone some sort of weird transformation. So in this current storyline we get Christian at first refusing to even speak to Rebecca then suddenly feeling sorry for her simply because Sebastian says she is unhappy. The same goes for kind-hearted Olli suddenly saying that Rebecca deserved to end up being covered in pee. This is an example of careless writing and far beneath the standard that we know the writers are capable of.

Chrolli deserves so much more than being shoved onto the sidelines of someone else’s front burner story. As kes pointed out they are probably the only example of a solid and believable gay couple to be found anywhere in soapland. That’s something that should be preserved not destroyed. But instead there seems to be every indication that Rebecca is going to play an even bigger part in their relationship perhaps even provoking a split. Writers this will a big backward step and will only result in the character of Rebecca becoming even more unpopular than she already is and Chrolli fans abandoning the show in droves.

Thanks for publishing my comment. Forgive me for adding one more point. Olli — you are so underutilized as a character (and Jo as an actor) that it is just sad.

And if underutilizing outstanding acters were a crime, then the one-dimentional writing given to the uber-talented Hubertus Regout would have the VL writers in prison for life.

Many of us were looking forward to Hubertus coming on board. It was obvious from watching on 60 second demo from this incredible man that he could act and would bring a wellspring of life to the show. He is able to go from pathos to anger to off-the-wall humor in thirty seconds. Yet Edward Von Tepp is written to be a flat-footed villain with nary an interesting moment to be had.

Anyway, I’ll stop ranting.

Writers: Please take this criticism as fuel to improve in your craft. Many people love VL — enough that they have recommended it to friends around the world. To some degree, it has a following because of the realistic, loving and true relationship presented by Thore and Jo, but many of us have grown to love other actors and other plotlines, too.

It is the entire show that is suffering now.

The travesty of this Rebecca/Christian paring is just the tip of the iceburg.

Um es vorweg zu sagen, ich schaue die Blogs sehr gerne und ich freue mich jedesmal wenn es einen neuen gibt.

Im Blog gestern war fast ausschliesslich Rebecca das Thema und ich kann es langsam nichtmehr hören.
Und diese Story dazu in den VL folgen die als Storytechnischen wendepunkt Urin in den Mittelpunkt stellt finde ich einfach nur Niveaulos.
Rebecca hier Rebecca da. Das wäre ja auch okay, wenn es da nicht ein Grundsätzliches Problem geben würde:

Die Story bleibt dauerhaft auf einem Level das Themen anschneidet, sie dann fallen lässt ohne sie auszuarbeiten und sich die Rollen damit auseinander setzen zu lassen. Als würde ein kleines Kind die Story schreiben das alle fünf Minuten ein neues Spielzeug bracht.

Da diese ganze Story von anfang an unglaubwürdig aufgebaut wurde kaufe ich Chris und Olli auch keine Versöhnung mit Rebecca ab.

REBECCA WAR NIE EINE FREUNDIN UND WIRD ES AUCH NIE SEIN. Das ist einfach ein unglaubliches Glaubwürdigkeitsproblem der ganzen Story und dieses neuen Blogeintrags.
Ich denke mal viele halten die Story und den Versuch Rebecca als Freundin darzustellen für verfehlt, daher auch die schlecht Blogbewertung diesmal. Es macht einfach nicht besonders viel spass, wenn man sich von einer Story nicht unterhalten fühlen kann.
Hättet ihr im Blog heute mal lieber was zu dem Jahreszeitlich passenden Thema Weihnachten gmacht, dann hätte man wenigstens nicht die Augen verdrehen müssen.

PS: Was die Zensur von Beiträgen hier angeht schliesse ich mich den usern hier an die es angeschrochen haben: Das finde ich sehr unglücklich und es nimmt einen die freude an der Sache.

I have always watched vblog and I really appreciate the gesture VL has made for Chrolli fans, I never commentated though.
But I feel I should now. I agree with so many comments here, unfortunately. The story with Rebecca just don’t fit. Seems that even writers are a bit clueless what to do with Rebecca character, she is so different from what she used to be and that makes it so much more difficult to play the role and Jasmine Lord is very inexperienced young actress and I feel sorry for her that she is put on that place.
These comments here are not just random thoughts, Chrolli fans are very devoted to Oliver & Christian and if something is out of character for Chrolli, fans are the first to notice, so should be the writers.
Still hoping for better stories to come.

Ich will nicht ständig hören, was ANDERE gemacht haben. Ich will hören was die beiden gemacht haben.

Rebecca ist KEINE Freundin von Chrolli, da kann man sich seitens der Autoren auf den Kopf stellen. Daran wird sich nichts ändern. Die Tusse passte Null zu den beiden und mir würde auch nicht einfallen, was sie jemals freundschaftliches für die beiden gemacht hat. Bisher ist sie nur durch Lügen und Betrügen, feiges Verhalten und Desinteresse aufgefallen. Was hat das denn mit Freundschaft zu tun?

Dieser Blog ist eine Frechheit und ich werde mir keinen Blog mehr anschauen, in dem diese Tusse vorkommt. Den hier habe ich auch schon nicht gesehen.

Normally Christian doesn’t suffer fools gladly, he didn’t put up with Olivia’s
antics, but now we’re supposed to believe that he forgives the spoiled Rebecca
after she steals, lies and he nearly ends up in jail.

Sorry, I’m not buying it as it just doesn’t ring true. In fact the whole lame Rebecca/Christian storyline is so contrived and awkward and it feels like it’s being forced upon us fans. Making it even worse is that Rebecca and Christian have ZERO chemistry on screen together.

Even more troubling if they are setting up Christian to be with Rebecca is that just a few months ago she was in love with Gregor. I know Christian and Gregor are close as brothers and this is Forbidden Love but come on, are we seriously to believe that Christian would fall for a girl who not long ago just slept with his brother??? That is just…..eeww on so many levels.

It’s as if the writers are telling us, you don’t know what is good for you and regardless of what you think and how much you protest we’re going to persist until you accept Rebecca. It’s NEVER EVER going to happen, instead it has just alienated the fans and made Rebecca the most disliked character on VL.

Come on guys, it just isn’t believable that you’d not only forgive Rebecca but that Christian would end up apologising to her urine bath or no urine bath. And it’s sad that yet another precious vlog has been devoted to speaking about her.

Rebecca did an unforgivable thing when she put that jacket in Christian’s bag and then stood back and allowed him to shoulder the blame. The fact that she eventually confessed also cuts no ice as, almost immediately afterwards, she lied to the press about being a thief claiming it was all some misunderstanding. It’s pretty obvious that she isn’t ready to take responsibility for her actions and that she never will. It’s the reason your fans want you to stay away from her.

Besides which, what difference would it really make to your lives if you didn’t speak to her again? She calls you her best friends but when has Rebecca ever supported you through the bad times and given you really good advice when you needed it the way that Judith always did? Has she even cooked you a nice meal, or helped poor Olli out at No Limits? No. All Rebecca does is shop and talk about herself and her life because when all is said and done that is all Rebecca really cares about. It’s no wonder her own siblings have lost patience with her. None of them felt all that sorry for her when she ended up on the front pages soaked in stale urine and neither should you.

It’s high time you stopped worrying about Rebecca and concentrated on your relationship for a change. Get Gregor to stop running around with Luise and actually do some shifts at No Limits. Go out for a nice meal together, or have a romantic evening. Stop talking about taking a trip together some day and actually do it. Just make sure you make a vlog about because that is all anyone here is really interested in.

Christian, I have not gotten over the changes I have seen them make to your character. For years it was quite clear that you were a person who did not cheat and did not lie.

Then you got a heart problem and you kissed Miriam and lied about it.

Now, this would have been fine had the writers explored this wierd and obvious change in character. The Christian we know would have FREAKED out that he had lied.

His moral superiority is one thing that holds his ego together.

And did Christian EVER have a nice thing to say to the morally problematic Olivia?

Never. He was never ever nice to her, never forgave her — even when SHE SAVED HIM.

Now, he forgives Rebecca when she hasn’t done anything for him??

And no explanation — no “Rebecca looks like my mother who died” or “Rebecca is actually a space alien with strange hypnotic powers” thing that might justify this.

It is just poor writing.

And the writing team knows better. Look how much better the writing is for the Ansgar storyline.

The writing for Chrolli story is sloppy. It is throw-away, “We need to write something for these gay characters because of those lousy fans, so lets just get something together” kind of writing.

As a fan, I feel like a burden to the show. An inconvenience to take care of — not as a treasured part of a community.

And we one of the first well-written, non-stereotypical, loving gay couples portrayed anywhere in the world, and it is this couple that is chosen for this nonsensical plotline.

Not fitting for VL. Not fitting for writers of this calliber. This is not writing that would pass even a Freshman script-writing class at Alabama Tech, let alone be passable at The First network of Germany.

And it is not just Chrolli who suffers — though they are the most victimized. Look at poor Lydia. Theresa Underberg is beautiful and a fine actress, and she’s been stuck in a one-note story that has all the excitement of a geometry textbook written by an out-of-work Indie filmaker. How could the writers and producers allow this boredom to go on for so long? Unless they are going into the alternative pharmaceuticals market and wish to market VL as a cure for insomnia.

We are talking about plotting so poor, writing so bad that two, if not three, outstanding actors left the show because of it: the original Sebastian, Olivia, and the beautiful Katrin Hess.

Are the producers watching the show?

Is anyone in charge?

The writers are capable.

Could someone please do something to get them working as a team, creating interesting, viable, cutting-edge, plots — the kind that keep audiences tuned-in and recommending the show to others?

For the past six-months the show has been SO predictable that I could state everything that was going to happen without reading spoilers from weeks away. The only thing that has saved it has been the fine actor.

If Andreas Jancke and the incredible Mascha Mueller had not been cast as Gregor and the Princess, no one would have watched their predictable, barely-a-twist-to-be-found, I-could-have-written-this-in-my-sleep, cliched, plotline. It was a nice, predictable fairy tale. Woopdy do! Boring.

Andreas and Mascha saved it, with help from the rest of the cast (particulary Thore, whose chemistry with Andreas is terrific) made this story somewhat successful.

Anyway, I’m ranting because I love VL.

I’m ranting about the writers because they are professionals who should be able to take criticism.

Poor Jasmine: Who in hell gives this kind of material to an eighteen-year-old who is just beginning her career and is just learning? Look at the attacks she’s suffered because of poor production, poor direction and abysmal writing.

So Christian and Olli: I am fine with you forgiving Rebecca.

But the writers and producers? They need to make some MAJOR amends.

Hopefully this is just a bad phase in the Chrolli storyline. The writers obviously don’t know what to do with the character Rebecca, so they have put her onto Chrolli who are very popular on the show.
Rebecca is a very weak character and is dragging Chrolli down with her. Please give Jo & Thore some decent material to show off their acting skills, not this rubbish.

Nach allem, was man sich in dieser Woche an niveaulosem Müll und Vergewaltigung des Charakters Christian geben musste, hatte ich mich so darauf gefreut, dass wenigstens im Blog die beiden mal wieder Paar sein dürfen, wie wir die beiden kennen. Und dann das. Schon als ich die Überschrift gesehen hab, hätte ich platzen können.

Man hat ja eigentlich seit geraumer Zeit nur noch im Blog das Gefühl den alten Chrolli-Charme noch erkennen zu können. Gerade darum will ich darin dieses dumm-dreiste Weib nicht auch noch ertragen müssen. Sollen die doch die Zeit mit bügeln, kochen oder Wäsche legen rumkriegen. Ist mir egal, aber jede Sekunde, die mit dem **** versaut wird, ist die Verschwendung schlechthin.

Das erinnert einen gleich wieder daran, dass JUDITH, nicht das Pony, Chrollis eigentliche beste Freundin ist.

Warum macht daraus eigentlich nicht gleich einen Rebecca Blog?

Wenn Chrolli nichts mehr anders zu tun haben, als sich um die Belange dieser Tusse zu kümmern, dann kann man den Blog auch einstellen.

Nur mal so zur Erinnerung: Die Seite heißt Chrolli.de und das hier ist der

CHROLLI (!!!!!) Blog!

Und genau darum sollte es auch gehen. Um das Leben von Christian und Oliver und in genau diesem hat das Pony nichts zu suchen und spielt auch keine Rolle. Ganz gleich wie oft man noch versuchen wird, den Fans diese Rolle als Freundin schmackhaft zu machen:

ES WIRD NICHT FUNKTIONIEREN!!

Vielleicht sollte man sich bei VL auch mal darüber Gedanken machen, dass es einen Unterscheid zwischen unbeliebten Rollen, über die die Leute diskutieren und dann trotzdem dran bleiben, weil sie wissen wollen, wie es weiter geht und unbeliebten Rollen, weswegen die Fans den Fernseher abschalten, weil es nicht mehr zu ertragen ist, gibt!

Rebecca ist nicht mehr zu ertragen und die aufgezwungene Freundschaft zweier erwachsener Männer mit einem unreifen, egoistischen Teenie-Troll grenzt mittlerweile an Folter und stellt keine gute Unterhaltung dar.

Wenn man will, dass es weiterhin Chrolli-Fans gibt, dann sollte man mal über die Verunstaltung dieser beiden Rollen nachdenken, die langsam aber sicher dazu führt, dass Chrolli die Fanbase wegbricht. Wenn das das ausgelobte Ziel ist: Dann hat man alles richtig gemacht.

Wenn nicht, sollte man diesen Zsutand ganz schnell beenden und anfgangen sollte man damit im Blog.

Es gab mal Zeiten, das hatte Christian noch ein Rückgrat und Prinzipien.

Keine Sekunde seines Lebens hätte er damit verschwendet sich über eine wie Rebecca Gedanken zu machen. Aber diese Zeiten sind wohl vorbei. Stattdessen kann er jetzt dem Rotzgör die Füße küssen und ihren ganz persönlichen Hampelmann spielen.

Wenn es in diesem Blog auch mal wieder um CHROLLI geht und das ganze nicht weiter zur Propaganda für Miss Soap mutiert, schau ich mir den Blog wieder an. VL wird eh schon boykottiert, bis dieser unsägliche Müll mit einer “Freundschaft” die keine ist und auch nie eine sein wird, ausgestanden ist. Und ich will hoffen, dass das bald der Fall ist. Wäre besser, wenn man wenisgtens noch ein paar Fans behalten will…

Ansonsten sollten man den Blog vielleicht bald mal umbenennen in “Rebecca von Lahnstein und ihre leicht dümmlichen Schergen.”

Die Woche ist damit offiziell völlig verdorben und dass obwohl ich mich nach dem ganzen Gedöns der vergangenen Woche, in der man ununterbrochen mit diesem Pony-Käse malträtriert wurde, so auf den Blog gefreut habe. Aber DAS kann keiner mehr ertragen. Das geht einfach zu weit und ist eine bodenlose Frechheit gegenüber den Fans und auch gegenüber Jo und Thore. Die beiden haben sich offensichtlich völlig um sonst den A… aufgerissen für diese Geschichte, wenn man sie jetzt einfach mal so für das unerträgliche Gepushe von Miss Soap ruiniert. Schade.

Ich verfolge VL seit Jahren, und die Stories werden immer schlechter, dümmer, sind unlogisch, an den Haaren herbeigezogen, realitätsfremd, vorhersehbar, beliebig austauschbar, oft nervig, effekthascherig. Tut mir leid, daß auch Chris & Olli davon nicht ausgenommen bleiben. Noch gebe ich die Hoffnung nicht auf, auch wenn ich in letzter Zeit manchmal abschalte, um mir den Schwachsinn nicht anzusehen.

You know…I thoroughly enjoyed Rebecca saturated in other people’s contaminated urine. It was really a pleasure to see her swimming around on the floor like a fish out of water, except that wasn’t water she was swimming around in. Good repayment for her most recent nasty and self centered behavior.

I was really hoping that you both wouldn’t forgive her so she would be shut out of your lives for good, and we could all move on. But unfortunately you both gave her the bear hug and now everything is alright. Now, I as a fan have to endure more of this silliness. More Rebecca and her one note look…more Rebecca and her pouty heavily glossed up lips…more Rebecca and staring into the camera to tell the world…Look i’m Miss SOAP, see how hot I am!! But the most devastating consequence of Ollian forgiving Rebecca…her continued over-powering presence in their lives.

I just don’t understand why these two mature young men would want to be best buds with this immature little child. It just doesn’t make any sense. I look at Andy..and his friendship with Ollian is more in line and understandable. Rebecca just doesn’t belong. I fully expect tp see her sitting on top of her frilly pink comforter in her bedroom, while bouncing up and down as she listens to her favorite Britney Spears song on her IPod

No attempt by the writers will have us fans take a fancy to Rebecca. Sorry…but it’s just not going to happen. Her very presence on screen with Olli or Christian brings on a feeling of wanting to tune out. She is just not a pleasant or likable character.

Jo and Thore…thank you for doing this and trying to sell Rebecca as written. You both remain all greatness, especially that amazing chemistry and naturalness you both portray in your acting.

Ok, seriously, you know something is wrong when you have to actually take the time to tell your viewers to like a character.
Problem is, no matter what the relationship; friendship or love, you need the writing and, more importantly, the chemistry to back it up. Both of which Ollian have in abundance with each other. They also had it with Judith and Olivia. Unfortunately for you guys we know what we’re missing.
Rebecca is no Judith.
All of a sudden she’s the new best friend of characters we are emotionally invested in, with little to make us understand or become invested in the choice as well. Both of which happened with Judith.
Rebecca is no Judith.
You make their new Bestest Friend someone who would only come forward and tell the truth when it became clear Christian would go to jail. She was fine with him having it on his record, being thought of as a thief, maybe having to pay some kind of penalty. All of this was ok with Rebecca.
Rebecca is no Judith.
Then you add in some kind of weird Freaky Friday-ish, alternate universe, personality switch, character swap/ Invasion of the Body Snatchers for Olli and Christian with no explanation, and now you’re just making us mad.
And to top it all off you had to go and have Christian apologize to her! WTF!
There is zero chemistry between them and Christian and Olli certainly deserve a better friend than that.
In conclusion,
Rebecca is no Judith.

Give us viewers a Rebecca vlog, a Rebecca Calendar, why you could even start a fashion line of ‘Rebecca VL Clothing.’ Think about it – Invest a few million Euro’s in promoting a cosmetic line of ‘Rebecca Deer Eye Make-Up.’ I’m sure all the viewer’s will want to buy something with ‘Rebecca’ on it. You could start a line of ‘Rebecca Purses’ all with a hidden ’shop-lifting’ compartment in it! The money making ideas are endless!

Just remember to invest a lot, I mean millions, millions of Euro’s and I’m sure you will make a ton of money on your investments. Your VL viewers are screaming for anything made with ‘Rebecca’s’ face and name on it. We want more, more, of ‘Rebecca.’ But, you have to produce and invest more time, money, and (God help me) T A L E N T, in getting ‘Rebecca’s’ face and name out in the public’s view. Flood the markets with ‘Rebecca Tabloids,’ and I know every VL fan wants a ‘Rebecca Cup’ to have their morning coffee in!

Why even my chickens want something with ‘Rebecca’ on it. Say VL Folks, how about making a ‘Rebecca Chicken Feeder’ just for those chickens who can’t get enough of ‘Rebecca!’

I can totally understand all this fans’ bitterness, against Rebecca for obvious reasons, but more than this, I imagine it’s because the story itself has changed a lot, & Chrolli, even in the cute vlogs, act as friends, as they are in real life I guess…
Instead people want to look at them as lovers, basically…Since they even haven’t anymore a real plot, it’s normal to be upset (as @Ivan IV)! ;-8)

Komisch – noch kein Blog wurde so schlecht beurteilt wie dieser. Im Moment sind wir bei 1,4!!!!

Woran das wohl liegt?? Genau daran!!!! Jede(r) weiss was und wen ich meine. Ich will hier ja nicht unter die Zensur fallen, wie manch andere. Aber vielleicht bekommt Ihr diese Zeilen überhaupt nicht zu lesen.

Es wurde entschieden, dass Ihr Eurer besten, wenn nicht allerbesten Freundin verzeiht und wieder glücklich zusammen seid. Vielleicht sollte diese Person jetzt bei Euch in die WG einziehen, dann habt Ihr sie 24/7 um Euch. Das wäre doch wirklich toll und alle, aber auch alle würden sich riesig freuen. Eine Frage nur noch: muss man sich das wirklich jeden Abend geben oder sollte man einfach mal für einige Zeit eine VL-Pause gönnen???? Leute, schreibt doch darüber einen Kommentar hier rein und gebt diesem Blog immer nur einen Punkt.

Hachja jetzt ist die “wunderbare Freundschaft” also wieder gerettet und alles wieder “beim Alten”.. Nur Schade, dass es gar kein “beim Alten” gibt, weil die 3 NIE wirklich NIE eine tiefergehende Freundschaft hatten. Nur weil Rebecca keine Freunde hat, werden mal eben Charaktere aufs Übelste verbogen,damit das kleine Prinzesschen mal wieder super dasteht. Spätens in einer Woche hat sie eh ihre nächste so unglaublich ernstzunehmende Lebenskrise -.-

Rebecca nimmt in Kauf, dass Christian für etwas bestraft wird, was er nie getan hat. Hätte sie nichts von seiner Vorstrafe erfahren, hätte sie die Geldstrafe für ihn eiskalt in Kauf genommen. Sie schiebt ihm diesen Diebstahl in die Schuhe und uuh sie landet im Urin und dann muss Christian zu Kreuze kriechen weil sie “das ja nicht verdient hat”. Habe ich was verpasst?! Und dann steht sie stammelnd vor der Tür und Olli vergibt seiner “neuen besten Freundin” natürlich sofort alles. Und dann wurde das auch noch von Christian arrangiert.
Und dann wird auch noch im Blog dafür geworben ihr auch zu verzeihen. Diese in sich total unstimmige und schwachsinnige Storyline, die nur dazu dient das Pony zu pushen werde ich sicher nicht gutheißen.

We would like to thank you for your kind gift last year of the snuggly cardigans Olli was so excited to receive! Unfortunately Christian hasn’t been able to use the boxing equipment you gave him due to his health problems, but he hopes to do so again very soon! No gift you give is unappreciated.

We are a bit lost for words this year as we write to you, dreaming of what we’d like for Christmas. We hope we aren’t asking for too much, but both of us are asking for the same thing.

The holidays are a time for family and friends, and most importantly to forgive people who have done us wrong. The two of us did that recently, forgave a girl we know who did a very bad thing to us that nearly got Christian put back in prison for something he didn’t do. The two of us are afraid, though, that act of forgiveness came at too high a personal price.

Therefore, our Arctic friend, we hope you can help us with gifts the two of us are now desperately in need of. To begin, we hope you can give us back the self-respect we have lost. Our friend nearly cost Christian his freedom, and seems unremorseful about that. We also hope you can give us back our credibility. If others we know see that we can be so easily walked-over, what’s to stop the rest of them from doing the same? That will give us almost too much to forgive next time around!

We are grateful that we are still together after all this time, but having those things back will help us not feel so emasculated by our recent gesture towards our friend.

And one thing that we ask for others instead of ourselves, naturally, is for world peace. And we hope also that people give generously to worthy charitable causes during these cold winter months.

Chrolli_lov: Don’t know where you got the idea that we don’t support Chrolli just because we voice our digust with the lack of respect shown to Christian & Olli’s story by the current writers at VL. However, we fell in love with VL because of CHROLLI!! NOT Rebecca, or Andi, Helena, Tristan, or even Gregor and Luise. It was CHROLLI who captured our hearts and got our attention and made addicts out of all of us. Granted, through Chrolli we got to know and like Gregor and Luise, Charlie, Andi and some of the other characters but rest assured, VL only exists for us strictly because of CHROLLI. So, for the current writers to now totally bury our favorite couple in favor of Rebecca-centric storylines is totally a slap in the face to all Chrolli fans, who single-handedly catapulted VL to the international sensation that it is. So take note: we will not allow Chrolli to become background props or figurines to Rebecca just because Jasmin Lord won some Soapy contest!! Olli and Christian deserve better and so do Jo and Thore. I hope you understand where we’re coming from and the low vlog ratings are in no way a reflection on Chrolli or Jo and Thore, but the WRITING team at VL who insist on insulting our intelligence each day they reduce our beloved Chrolli to side show acts in this Rebecca circus.

Yes, Ivan, you’re so totally right! Why waste at least half of the screentime with other stupid storylines when you could have our little precious with them big brown eyes all the time? Honestly, it’s just not enough. In fact, it’s about time that Olli and Christian finally leave the blog to her! Why tell us about her, when Miss Soap herself could actually talk to us directly? Maybe some of her greatness will devolve to us then! Indeed, she really must have some magical powers! After all she can make perfectly well-balanced reasonable characters go all crazy. Awesome! More of that! Who are these Christan and Olli guys anyway? Didn’t they have this weird storyline with true emotions and passion and all that crap some time ago? Overrated, don’t you think?

Tja, was soll ich zu diesem Blog sagen???? Ich stimme nicht in die Jubelchöre ein.

Selbstverständlich macht jeder Fehler, auch schwere….und hat dann nach ehrlicher Reue eine zweite Chance verdient, aber das ist hier doch gar nicht das Problem!!! Diese Freundschaft ist einfach nur künstlich und aufgezwungen…da kommt beim Zuschauer nichts rüber. Dieses Problem haben wir seit Wochen und die Storyline wird immer schlimmer. Der Ton in diesem Blog war schon etwas oberlehrerhaft, irgendwie nach dem Motto: “Wir haben ihr verziehen….jetzt tut ihr das gefälligst auch!!!!” Dazu bin ich ganz ehrlich nicht bereit! Ich lasse mir das nicht aufzwingen und mir bleibt dann nur der Weg abzuschalten. Hoffentlich wird an verantwortlicher Stelle endlich begriffen, dass man auf einem falschen Weg ist und dringenst was ändern muss. Übrigens fand ich die Nummer mit dem Apfelsaft nicht gerade komisch. Der Witz ist bei mir nicht angekommen.

I was hoping that wave of pee would wash Rebecca far, far away from our boys and that they might get a sensible storyline that concentrates on their relationship.

Writers and producers pull your fingers out. None of Chrolli’s fans can stand the character of Rebecca or the actress who plays her. Describing her as their best friend is the biggest joke of the century and getting them to try and persuade us that she is all right really is an insult.

The only redeeming factor of this vlog is seeing the boys together without Rebecca getting in the way and the shout out to Judith who should never have been written out in the first place. Wise up and get her back.

Well I had decided that this blog (as it is a gift to us fans) its not the right place to vent, therfore I stayed away. But now: Enough is enough! Seriously, do you think that just by “telling” us we magically like HER all of the sudden??? Think again!

Rebecca never was Christian’s and Olli’s friend let alone a good or best one to begin with. That was another huge mistake authors made. It’s just not plausible, reasonable or believable. I have yet to meet someone watching VL who actually likes that character. Be done with it already!

So many people already turned their backs on VL because they just couldn’t stand watching her another nanosecond. It’s such a shame and just very very very sad that it has come this far. :’( :’(

The fans dislike Rebecca intensely because she’s being shoved down our
throats every episode, it’s now the “Rebecca Show” I just refuse to believe that the writers would be so stupid to have Christian fall in love with her, they have to know there would be a huge fan backlash against not only Rebecca but Christian as well. So you can understand from the fans point of view why we resent the tedious, shallow character of Rebecca hogging all the limelight when we would rather watch Christian and Olli together. I can’t think of the last time when they have actually been alone and had a conversation about their relationship, instead they seem more and more like just friends instead of passionate lovers, this even comes across in the Chrolli Vblog, with Christian especially being indifferent to Olli and not showing him much affection.

Nup sorry guys, the urine crap was stupid and honestly insulting – not funny. Christian’s character would not be so forgiving – I don’t understand what we are suppossed to glean from this? Rebecca is just not likeable and I don’t see how Christian is going to “suddenly fall in love with her”. dass mal wieder an Judith und Constantin gedacht wurde. Tja, und warum eigentlich nicht mal nach London und uns dabei mit einem netten Blog bedenken? Da bleibt nur die Frage, reist „SIE“ dann mit?? Denn ab jetzt gehört Rebecca doch voll dazu und ohne sie geht es doch nicht mehr, oder?? Die Umarmung zu dritt in der WG, wie sie Judith damals mit euch erlebt hatte, macht es jedenfalls deutlich, das man die „BESTE“ Freundin schnell austauschen kann.

Ich tausche sie nicht so einfach aus, auch wenn man jetzt die Blogs dazu nutzt, mich ( uns Fans ) diese unglaubwürdige „Freundschaft“ schmackhaft zu machen und mich ( uns ) bewegen will, sie abzusegnen und durchzuwinken, damit „EINIGE“ noch wieder gut aus dieser oberflächlichen, lieblos zusammengeschusterten, nicht akzeptablen, ……. Story und was damit zusammenhängt, herauskommen können, obwohl jetzt schon so vieles auf der Strecke geblieben ist, was kaum mehr gutmachbar ist.

Die Versöhnung, die wir nun hinnehmen aber nicht akzeptieren müssen, kam genau so schnell wie der Versuch uns zu vermitteln, hier haben sich Freunde fürs Leben gefunden. Aber es sind halt nur Marionetten in einer Soap die man drehen und wenden kann, wie man sie eben für eine Story braucht. Wem interessiert da schon die Vergangenheit, der Charakter und die Entwicklung der Rollen, sowie auch das Herzblut, was sehr, sehr viele Fans und auch die Schauspieler in eine Geschichte und in den Figuren hineingesteckt haben?

Mit den Krankenhausszenen wurde ein weiterer Tiefpunkt in dieser Story erreicht. Ich kann jedenfalls nicht über diese Apfelsaftnummer lachen. Gründlich am gutem Geschmack vorbei.

Bleibt wieder mal die Hoffnung auf Besserung.

Danke wieder an Jo und Thore, denen ich diese Hoffnung zu verdanken habe. Ohne Euch wäre mittlerweile vieles anders.

I do not know what others think, but I could definitely use more Rebecca. She’s just so cute when she makes that ‘deer caught in the headlights’ face every 5 minutes. I think she should move in with you. That way you would not have to be separated for 5 seconds. And she could help you with the blogs, too. Hell, she could do them instead of you. And she should break you up and close this sorry piss-stained chapter for good. And I definitely think she really deserves to go to NYC in March instead of you, she’s doing all the work as it is and you are just there.

PS: I thought I did not care anymore, but then I would not write this, would I. And yes, everybody deserves a second chance and you have to screw up to need one, but she did not change, she’s still a klepto and a liar and if she’s sorry then only because she had to come out about stealing that thing and people finding out. i think rebecca deserves a second chance even if she was selfish. she did confess and knew what she did was wrong at the end. it took her some time, but i think that her actions showed that she wasn’t a coward at the end and wasn’t going to let her mistakes effect other people negatively.

Das einzige, was man sich noch angucken kann, sind die Teaser auf Facebook… VL selbst guck ich schon länger nicht mehr “live” und die Blogs sind jetzt wohl auch nur noch Pony-Propaganda. Zwischen Chrolli und Rebecca gibt es einfach absolut keine Freundschaft, da kann das Mädel noch so oft rumheulen und Olli und Christian als ihre “besten Freunde” bezeichnen. Wahr wird es trotzdem nicht. Bei der Vorschau zu morgen könnte ich auch schon wieder… brechen. Was haben wir den Autoren eigentlich getan?!

Warum, verdammt noch mal, musste Christian heute zu Kreuze kriechen und bei Ihr-deren-Name-ich-einfach-nicht-mehr-hören-kann um Verzeihung betteln?! Das war doch einfach nur unlogisch und völlig untypisch. Haben die Schreiberlinge denn überhaupt gar kein Gespür für die beiden Charaktere? So sehr ich Olli und Christian auch liebe, ich kann’s einfach nicht mehr ertragen. Wenn die Story (ich hoffe zumindest, dass wir es tatsächlich so nennen dürfen) im Januar auch so uninspiriert und lieblos daherkommt, bin ich ganz weg, so weh es auch tut. Aber da gibt es momentan einfch besseres im deutschen Fernsehen.

Diese Gehirnwäschen Story von wegen “beste Freunde” war wirklich geschmacklos genauso wie die neue damit geborene Freundschaft zwischen Christian und Rebecca. Da können noch soviele “Werbe” Blogs kommen, das kauft kein Fan ab,weil es Quatsch ist was man da zwischen den Beiden zeigt. I personally would have just resigned her to casual acquaintance status in my book but I wouldn’t have held any grudges though since she’s not worth the time or energy. But like you said though, she had that pee bath coming though; it was GREAT to see her swimming in it, even though it in NO WAY makes up for all the BS she put you both through. I wonder if Christian had spent like a night or 2 in jail before she confessed how that would have affected your willingness to forgive her.

I don’t know why people are rating this blog so low — I think it is great. You both seem so natural, and I am THRILLED you said hi to Judith. I miss her so much! She is such a good friend! I wish she would come back.

My guess is that people may be upset at the idea of a Christian/Rebecca hook-up. Let’s face it, Christian, you are acting awful chummy with her all of the sudden, and you did seem to check-out that hetero couple with a bit of longing today.

However, I am going to have faith that the writers of VL are not going to go in that direction. They are too smart.
