Hi … ich beschäftige mich seit Jahrzehnten mit dem Thema “Homosexualität”, weil ich selbst, seit ich denken kann, bi bin.
Als Jahrgang 1964 ist man noch ‘züchtig’ erzogen worden. Schwul war damals noch völlig verpönt und verachtet. “Solche Leute sind krank!” … und all so einen Blödsinn hab ich damals darüber gehört. Aber wie das so ist – man will ja nicht auffallen – hab ich mich nicht getraut einen Mann den ich mochte drauf anzusprechen und habe es immer verheimlicht und mich für die ‘normale’ Variante entschieden. 1995 mit 31 Jahren geheiratet, Vater geworden, 2001 Scheidung. Zwei Jahre später hab ich mich dann gefragt: Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann? Und so hab ich dann mit 39 die schwulen Erfahrungen gemacht, die ich mit 17 schon hätte machen können. Aber ich hatte damals Angst und bin bis heute ungeoutet. Irgendwann 2003 lief dann auch schon die Verbotene Liebe, als Jo Weil das erste Mal mitmachte und ich fand die Folgen damals schon super, weil man das schwule Thema so locker integrierte. Leider stieg er dann aus und ich schaute die Serie nicht mehr. Bis ich dann 2009 zufällig in eine Folge gezappt habe und da war grade eine Kuss-Szene mit Jo und einem zweiten unheimlich toll aussehenden Mann lief. Das hat mich spontan faszinert, sodass ich mir danach jede weitere Folge angesehen habe. Um die ganze Geschichte zu kapieren, hab ich dann im Netz gesucht und bei youtube alle wichtigen Szenen gefunden. Die knapp 300 Folgen hab ich mir in den letzten Abenden und Nächten dann ‘reingeschaufelt’. Ich war von Anfang an wie gefesselt, weil die Darstellung des Themas so völlig selbstverständlich und normal rübergebracht wird. Keine Klischees, kein Getucke, einfach nur Klasse! Die Darsteller Thore und Jo sind unglaublich natürlich und spielen ihre Rollen grandios und mir super viel Gefühl! Als Christian sich endlich eingesteht, dass er sich in Olli verliebt hat und die beiden sich Umarmen und Küssen …. das geht voll unter die Haut, es kribbelt richtig und die Augen werden feucht, wenn die beiden streiten und sich später versöhnen! Das ist genau wie im richtigen Leben!
Ein Riesen Kompliment an die Macher von VL! Ihr bringt den Leuten ein leider immer noch nicht überall akzeptiertes Thema auf eine Art und Weise in die Wohnzimmer, die einfach GENIAL ist!
Ich bin mir sicher, dass diese lockere Art allen Menschen hilft, dass Schwule künftig besser akzeptiert werden und junge Männer beim Outing unterstützt werden.

First about Olli & Christian in the show.Last year your relationship was alot of drama and this year you’re more in the backgroung except for Christian’s illness and other characters are more upfront.I have no complaints because I still get to see Olli & Christian on VL and I love the blogs.Dressing for the big event,my style would be what Christian is wearing,jeans and nice dress shirt or the one he has on with the v-neck and that matching jacket.Olli I think should also wear jeans with a dress shirt and borrow a v-neck from Christian and a dark colored jacket,Olli don’t wear any of the clothes you have on in this blog.The wedding is going to be in the castle but you can feel good in jeans,dress shirt,jacket.I don’t care for ties.Whatever you wear you will look good in.you men are so sexy!

And I would like to give you my feeling about the usual question: ” Are you Gay or Straight in real life ?”.

For me this is an irrelevant question as you are actors and you play (so well!) roles.

Do the interviewers ask the questions: “Are you really straight ?” to Sean Connery or Harrison Ford (for example) when they have a sex story with a woman in a movie, which they have frequently by the way or “Are you a murderer?” to others actors when they kill somebody in a film?

And I would like to add this sentence from Antonio Banderas:
“I remember in “Law of Desire,” where I played a homosexual, that people were more upset that I kissed a man on the mouth than I killed a man. It’s interesting to see how people can pardon you for murdering a man, but they can’t pardon you for kissing one. ”

So , be relax, we totally pardon you for kissing each other, by the way we love it!

Whichever is your real life, your acting is great and I ‘m dreaming to see more people (and boyfriends ?) beheaving like you are, with the switness and kindness you are communicating to us….. Thanks!

It’s wonderful that Chris will start working with horses!! Next to my litttle village (here in Italy) we have a centre for the hippo-therapy. There are specialized therapists who take care of children with disability. It seems that horses can have a particular empathy doing it!!

Hi Guys. I would like to agree with what has already been said. I love the touching tender moments, and also the humourous moments. Two sides to a totally believable relationship. I hope the producers don’t split you up yet as you have gone to alot of trouble to make the relationship realistic.
As you guys don’t get many scenes together these days, it would be good if the producers did a one-off special with just you two spending a week-end break somewhere.

Je nach den Intentionen des Senders!

Geht es allein darum eine neue Zielgruppe zu gewinnen oder deren (homosexuelles Publikum) Anteil zu steigern?! Also im Grunde nur darum die Pausenzeiten für werbewillige Unternehmen attraktiver zu gestalten?! Da ja bekanntermaßen der ledige oder in Partnerschaftlebende homosexuelle Mann williger ist für die ja so gewinnbringenden Lifestyleprodukte überhaupt oder eben mehr Geld auszugeben!

Das ist meine “reale” Meinung!

… versucht der ARD tatsächlich, Homosexualität “salonfähiger” zu machen?!

JEDOCH…

… ist es alle mal löblich, etwas eigentlich schon längst überfälliges dies zu “thematisieren”. Denn, dass auch der ein oder andere in dieser Beziehung konservativere Zuschauer Verbotene Liebe schaut und eventuell so ein “besseres” Bild, als das vorherrschende Klischeebild, erhält.

Ich hoffe der ARD ist sich dessen Verantwortung bewusst!

Zwei solche Charakterrollen sind für die Serie eine echte Bereicherung. Ich finde es cool, mit wieviel Mut die Beiden gegen Vorurteile kämpfen und mit selbst auferlegten Regeln und Normen der Gesellschaft brechen. Wir leben (zum Glück) nicht mehr im 18. Jhd.,in dem sich Menschen mit ihrer Entscheidung zur gleichgeschlechtlichen Liebe verstecken und ihre wahren Gefühle verbergen musste.
Nur,wenn das Thema endlich kein Tabu mehr ist, können unsere Kinder lernen, andere Menschen,die mit einem gleichgeschlechtlichen Partner durch’s Leben gehen, nicht als Sonderlinge abzustempeln,denen dazu noch das Gefühl gegeben wird, sich dafür schämen zu müssen.
Kompliment Jung’s, Ihr seit wirklich überzeugend, auch wenn Ihr im wahren Leben lieber Frauen küsst, gelingt es Euch, die Charaktere genauso behutsam wie brilliant umzusetzen ! Klasse !!!

Ich hoffe mal, dass allen, die hier kommentare der bewunderung dieses “paares” hinterlassen sich darüber bewusst sind, dass dies nur FIKTION ist. Die 2 sind schauspieler und das ganze dient wohl eher als BINDUNGSELEMENT an die serie, damit die quote besser wird, bzw nicht schlechter. Jo weil ist nach eigenen angaben NICHT homosexuell.
(Trotzdem möchte ich hinzufühen, dass es durchaus angebracht ist, in einer soap homosexuelle CHARAKTERE (sowas wie eine ROLLE!) einzuführen, da homosexualität ein teil unsers mensch seins ist. )
ABER eins sollte klar sein: DAS HIER IST NICHT REAL, SONDERN GESPIELT!!
und ich persönlich empfinde es als ein gezwungenes up-to-date sein, im bezug auch kommunikationskanälen (–>twitter) und ich kann nur alle zuschauer davor warnen den blick für die REALITÄT nicht zu verlieren!!

Super erstes Video! Mein Lieblingsmoment ist die Reaktion von Chris auf Olli’s “ich will dich doch nicht verlieren”. Super gespielt. Ich musste an mehreren Stellen schmunzeln, weil es genauso ist wie Olli es angekündigt hat: christian ist ein Sturkopf, aber ein süsser . Aber Olli hat vergessen sich selbst als oberfürsorglich anzukündigen . Klasse gespielt! Ich nehme mal an das das größtenteils improvisiert war? Echt super wie ihr auch ohne festes Drehbuch Christian und Olli zum leben erweckt.
Danke an Jo und Thore für diese tolle Zugabe für alle Chrolli-Fans. Ich liebe diesen Blog schon nach dem ersten Video

herzlichen Glückwunsch zu Eurem neuen Blog. Ich finde die Idee einen Blog ins Internet zu stellen sehr gut und natürlich werde ich in Zukunft gerne bei Euch vorbeischauen.

Jungs, ich finde es echt super, wie Ihr beiden die Rolle eines schwulen Pärchens verkörpert – Hut ab, mir gefällt das. Als ich letztens den Beitrag zur Kieler Woche über Euch bei uns im Schleswig-Holstein-Magazin gesehen habe und man etwas aus dem Backstage berichtet hat, fand ich das wirklich mehr als beeindruckend.

Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, daß es anfangs sicher etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig gewesen ist, einem anderen Mann auf den Mund zu küssen, wenn das Schleswig-Holstein-Magazin denn richtig berichtet hat. Aber wie man ja sieht, habt Ihr beiden das wirklich super hinbekommen. Und von mal zu mal sieht man auch eine Weiterentwicklung

Und ich kann mir gut vorstellen, daß der eine oder andere homo-/bisexuelle Mann sich bestimmt bei mindestens einem von Euch anlehnen wollte.

I wish Christian & Olli were there as role models when I was growing up. Keep up the good work. Your portrayal of these two characters in love is fantastic!

“bloody brilliant” (IvanIV) ist schon eine ziemlich genaue Beschreibung dessen, wass Thore und Jo in der Serie abliefern. Auch die Beschreibung “das liebenswerteste Paar im TV” (nettchen) trifft die Sache sehr genau.
Ich finde es ein bisschen künstlich, wie die beiden sich hier ohne Drehbuch und Regie geben, aber ich bin – wie so viele andere – so süchtig danach, sie zu sehen, zu hören und zu bewundern, dass ich das in Kauf nehme. Diese Story und ihre eindrucksvollle Realisierung durch Thore und Jo ist keine Kleinigkeit, sondern für viele Menschen inner- und außerhalb Deutschlands elementar wichtig. Aber davon abgesehen: Thore und Jo, ihr könnt euch nix dafür kaufen, aber meine allerbesten Wünsche sind mit euch!!!!

Wenn Jo & Thore einen echten BLOG hätten, wäre es halt tool, denn man würde sie als Person näher kennen lernen … so sieht man eben “nur” die beiden in einer auswendig gelernten Szene. Ist halt leider nur gespielt und nicht real.

Echte Kommentare zu Dingen, die die beiden so beschäftigen oder aktuelle Themen – das wäre wünschenswert!

Wie wäre es denn mit einem BLog, in dem man zwischen dem Chrolli und dem Jo/Thore-Blog switchen kann?

Hallöchen auch! Also ich muss gestehen ich finde es auch ein bisschen komisch, einen Blog von Personen, die nicht existieren zu sehen. Sicherlich ist es ne coole Aktion für die Fans, die nicht genug von Christian und Olli bekommen (vermutlich gehöre ich auch dazu )…Trotzdem fänd ich einen Blog von Jo und Thore auch besser und interessanter! Sozusagen aus dem Leben der Schauspieler- obwohl da dann wieder die Sache mit der Privatsphäre wäre. Also bleiben wir bei Chrolli und hoffen mal, dass wir alle der Unterscheidung von Realität und Fernsehen noch mächtig bleiben!

I’m concerned about the new story line. The writers have something up their sleeves if the newest twist is a potentially fatal heart problem for Christian. They wouldn’t start this without a plan to take it in a new direction. For excitement, there could have been a brief breakup, or any number of other relationship issues. Why this? Ollie and Christian are an iconic couple with a global audience. I watch episodes sometimes just to remind myself that unconditional love is alive and well…at least in Germany.

Anyway I would like to point out one little thing – it’s pretty annoying to watch a video that play for a few seconds and then stop for a few seconds on and on especially when we try to read the subtitles and at the same time try to recognize who’s speak. I don’t know if causing by my modem or streaming video thing but I wish I could watch it all at once. Thanks for reading this and take notice.

Ich finde es echt klasse wie ihr eure Charaktere herüber bringt !
Es ist echt faszinierend wie authentisch ihr dies alles rüber bringt ,was ihr bis jetzt in der Serie geleistet habt . Dennoch wäre es auch interessant zu wissen ,wie es im realen Lben aussieht ? Dabei müsst ihr natürlich nicht zu tiefe Einblicke in euer Privatleben geben sondern nur einen Überblick (wenn das ginge) ,da es mich und wahrscheinlich auch viele andere interessieren würde wie ihr wirklich seid.
Ich hoffe ihr denkt darüber nach aber nichtsdestotrotz bleibt Verbotene Liebe meine Lieblingsserie ever ( und ihr meine lieblingsschauspieler )

Just like to add my praise along with everyone else…..thanks to VL for realising how many english speaking fans there are and giving us a subtitled version. Thought the acting was amazing, praise goes to “Olli” for his heart renching monologue and to “Chrisitian” for the way he portrayed someone not accepting his limits. Can’t wait for next Friday.

Tolle Idee. Ich war zwar während dem Schauen hin und her gerissen, ob dies nun an Schizophrenie grenzt, dass sich die Soap hier im Blog mit der ‘Realität’ vermischt – wenn dies auch nur suggeriert wird. What a gift! Olli had me just about crying — even before I could read the subtitles. Great acting by Jo! And, let me add, by Thore, who gives us a wonderful Christian. Christian would not like this particular venue, would he? And yet, he loves Olli. What makes me happy is that this is 1. carefully written and 2. very well acted.

Such a quality blog will become the center of my entire day (well, not the true center of my day, I have a partner! — but one of the primary joys of my day anyway).
